Gloves that carry the label Confidence in Textiles are tested for harmful substances from environmental friendly production and are certified to be skin safe from the moment they come into contact with your skin. Sanitized is a hygiene function that offers a longlasting safe and fresh wearing comfort all day long. Its antimicrobial hygienic function protects our gloves and eliminates the growth of bacteria, fungis, mildew and odour. Sanitized is committed to responsible ecological practices. As last step in our production process, each glove is washed with hot water to provide gloves of highest cleanliness to our customers. Each glove is dried in hot air. reines Quellwasser The water which is used in washing our gloves is purified rain water. The waste water is continually recycled in our own ecological waste water treatment plant for an ecological process of Water Utilization. The most consistent form of carbonneutral energy use is the use of greenhouse gasfree energy sources. Using wood as fuel and no use of fossil fuels is one of the major carbonneutrality. Since our rubber plantations replant more trees than the trees we use for fire wood, we safely ensure carbonneutrality. 4 4 The Language of Symbols For the user to keep track of the performance levels, in appendix B of the European Standard EN 420 symbols were introduced, which explain at first sight the performance a PPE product achieves. z.b EN 388 Gloves for protection against mechanical risks Gloves with this symbol have been tested against mechanical risks, i.e. abrasion, blade cut, tearing, puncture and impact cut and achieved the mentioned level of performance. In Europe the European Directive 89/8/EEC governs the requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE). Many standards and laws define this directive further in detail. PPE gloves are classified in three risk categories: Category I: The responsible manufacturer has the duty to declare the conformity to EU legislation 8. This is documented by the CEsign. This category includes gloves which protect the user against minimal risk which he can judge by oneself, i.e. household and garden work, single use gloves etc. They offer protection: Against mechanical injuries on the surface Against mild aggressive cleaning agents Against risk when handling parts with a maximum temperature of 50 C which do not cause dangerous impacts In climatic conditions which are neither excep tional nor extreme Against Mild impacts and oscillations Against Sun exposure Category II: After successful design examination by a notified body, the manufacturer declares the conformity to EUguideline and describes the performance profile based on the examination. The gloves or their packing have to feature pictograms describing the protective level. This is documented by the CEsign plus the four digit notified bodies identification number. Category III: As in category II. Aditionally, the manufacturing takes place under an approved quality system or under surveillance by notified body. The product design is complex and protects the user against serious, irreversible risks. EN 118 Gloves are washable. After use, shake off the dust and dirt. The gloves can be hand washed for a maximum of 10 min. at max. 40 C with commercial laundry soap or washing detergent. Do not rub. Repeat in case of heavy soiling. Rinse in cold water afterwards. Specified protection levels apply only for new gloves. Storage condition, period of storage and washing process can reduce performance level.
