2 MÜNCH CHEMIE INTERNATIONAL GMBH The release agent specialist, Münch Chemie International GmbH, is a family-run company with over 60 years of tradition. Already in the third generation, the members of the Münch family have been managing the company s destiny along with its acumen. Having been founded by Dr. Adolf Münch in 1948 as the Münch Chemie Labor (Laboratory), the company made a name for itself as a manufacturer for release, wetting and cleaning agents in the post-war Germany of the 1950s. After the acquisition of the business in its present form as a limited-liability company (GmbH) by Wilhelm Münch in 1990, the medium-sized company has been orientated on a much more international level with great success: Münch Chemie products are used and appreciated today throughout the world. In 2002, renaming the company to Münch Chemie International GmbH accommodated this international ambition. Today, Wilhelm Münch manages the company together with his son Michael. In his dual function as managing director and head of product development, Michael Münch ensures that the company can continuously provide innovative and high-quality solutions for customers worldwide. Products by Münch Chemie are available across the globe and are used for mould items in the fields of rubber, composites, polyurethane, metal, plastics and non-woven material. Furthermore, they are used in many industries where high-tech release agents contribute to process efficiency and quality assurance such as in the automotive industry, the aerospace industry, the marine industry, the wind energy industry, or in the electrical industry. Internationally successful but also deeply rooted at a regional level: the headquarters of the long-standing company is the city of Weinheim, located in the metropolitan Rhine-Neckar region in the south west of Germany named after the Rhine and Neckar rivers that flow through the region.
