1 SPEC /7 1.0 PURPOSE This specification describes the minimum requirements for dry (less than 100 ppm H20) gaseous sulphur dioxide at pressures up to and including 10 PSIG for indoor service. Do not bury sulphur dioxide lines. Flanged ends to ASME B16.. Port arrangement to suit piping. Valves to be lockable. Tufline #037 Above 4" Class 10 cast steel, ASTM A216 Gr. WCB body and plug, teflon sleeves with fully retained top bottom and around ports, bottom entry, 90 deg. or 180 deg. turn operation with enclosed gear operators, complete with operating handles. Flanged ends to ASME B16.. Port arrangement to suit piping. Valves to be lockable. 5 SPEC-3023 /7 3.0 TESTING Leak testing must meet the requirements of ASME B31.3, and SPEC In accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section V, Article 10, Appendix 1, Bubble Test Direct Pressure Technique and Vale SPEC-3048 Leak Testing Requirements. 4.0 EXAMINATION AND INSPECTION Examination and inspection must meet the requirements of ASME B31.3 for Category M fluid service and specific instruction in the scope of work. 100% butt welds of each welder s work examined by random radiography. 100% visual examination and complete inspection..0 CLASSIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION The piping system shall be painted (classification) and labeled (identification) in accordance with SPEC-3001.
