2 Properties of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes Compared with Other Materials The unique shape provides excellent mechanical properties extremely high electrical conductivity extraordinary thermal conductivity plus the high aspect ratio makes MWCNT extremely interesting as a functional material for manifold applications. The starting point for BYK was the improvement of the electrical conductivity of coatings. Meanwhile many other applications in different areas gain more and more interest.
