1 Assessment s Decision Matrix Overview UnitedHealth Group s Learning & Development and Human Capital teams use a variety of instruments, including multirater feedback surveys, employee opinion surveys, and self-s. Use the information in this matrix when making decisions about the instrument to use when working with clients, teams, and businesses. for using the instrument and the results Administration (includes completing the instrument and debriefing the results) Review (includes information about the instrument s reliability and validity) Cost Each instrument can be used by individuals and teams at all levels in the organization. For ease of reference, the instruments are listed in alphabetical order. Assessment s Decision Matrix 12/11/ of 7

Focuses on strengths and areas for development. Ratings on the frequency of observed behaviors under each Success Factor are combined with importance ratings to help s prioritize the areas they should focus on for development. 4 / Administration Review Cost Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Provides an in-depth personalized account of personality preferences in such areas as: Communications Problem solving Conflict management Change management Decision-making skills Increasing team effectiveness Self-scored (online) diagnostic completed by the The results are debriefed in a 4-hour inclass session with a certified. The reliability (when scores are treated as continuous scores, as in most other psychological instruments) is as good as or better than other personality instruments.
