3 TO DATE, ONE SITE OUT OF FOUR IS A WORDPRESS SITE Since 2003, WordPress has been a powerful and flexible Content Management System (CMS) allowing you to create and organize your content, design your website, and publish your work to the world. WordPress is Open-source, uses PHP and a MySQL database, and is distributed by American company Automattic. In 2017, WordPress powers 27% of the world s websites, while its direct competitors hold 3.4% (Joomla) and 2.2% (Drupal) and 53.4% of websites do not use a CMS. 80 MILLION 62% 24 versions WordPress sites worldwide are powered by a CMS since its creation back in 2003 THEY ARE USING WORDPRESS

4 WHAT IS WP TECH? WP Tech is the only event entirely dedicated to advanced WordPress development in France : a full day of conferences and workshops, taught by WordPress experts obviously but also PHP, Javascript and other front-end or back-end development experts. You ll also meet product-related business owners like plugin and theme authors, hosting providers, agencies, and a lot of freelancers and other web-related professionals. Since the first two successful WP Techs in Nantes back in 2014 and 2015, this non-profit event s goal has been to promote WordPress and teach the community how to use and develop for this CMS. We want WP Tech to become an annual event where participants can share their experience, development skills and knowledge about new web technologies. We aim to gather the best French and international web experts on highly technical topics and help them spread their knowledge to a growing community.

6 WHAT IS WP TECH Just a few numbers about the preceding events: 300 participants 12 sponsors 12 conferences 16 organizers and volunteers The day before the event, sponsors, speakers and organizers all share a friendly dinner, and all participants are invited to an after-party.

7 THE VENUE In 2018, this new WP Tech will take place in Lyon, at the Embarcadère. It is a 8-minute walk from the Gare Perrache (Lyon 2), in the middle of Lyon-Quartier Confluence and right beside the Saône. The venue is easily accessible and parkings are available nearby. We ve been able to raise the number of participants to 400 to make this year s WP Tech bigger and better than ever before! Our goal is to have two big and comfortable rooms to be able to offer two different learning tracks at the same time. High quality audio and monitors will guarantee our guests an optimal learning experience. AND OBVIOUSLY... Participants will have access to high quality wifi to share photos and comments about the event with their friends and connections and make the #wptech Twitter hashtag trending for this day.

9 GET INVOLVED IN THE NEXT WP TECH WP Tech is an association and organizers, speakers and volunteers are all happily giving their time for free to make it a huge success. Tickets are sold 45 (tax included). This single price tag for the ticket guarantees the event is affordable for all participants. The ticket includes : access to all conferences and workshops snacks in the morning and in the afternoon lunch an invitation to the after-party, with a drink To be able to organize such an event, we are counting on financial and operational support from special partnerships with private or public entities. Every partner can get involved in his own way.
