Public * The 1 st period under the grant was by default constraint to this category, with few exceptions (e.g. IMAGE2009) These categories apply to the current Data Warehouse (until mid 2014). User categories for the Sentinels era still to be confirmed.

7 Data use types 1. DISCOVERY Service: search for spatial datasets and services on the basis of the content of the corresponding metadata and to display the content of the metadata. 2. VIEW Service: The VIEW service shall make possible, as a minimum, to display, navigate, zoom in/out, pan, or overlay viewable spatial data sets and to display legend information and any relevant content of metadata 3. DOWNLOAD Service: access to full products as supplied by GCMs, to process to higher levels

8 Two Dataset types 1. CORE datasets: predefined large coverages or regular repetitive coverages, to serve a large variety of Service providers; currently 23 defined in the DAP 2. ADDITIONAL datasets: on-demand, composed as per individual Copernicus/GMES Service providers requests; currently 429 defined in the DAP (40 different types)

11 Current status of GSCDA: CORE datasets implementation (1/3) CORE_01 COV1: 93% of Europe COV1 achieved and delivered over Europe mainland. Islands and DOMs delivered. CORE_01 COV2: 90% of Europe COV2 achieved; most of these data (97%) are delivered 2013 acquisitions about to start Mayotte COV1 Canary island COV1 French Guyana COV1 RapidEye COV2 Euromap COV1

12 Current status of GSCDA: CORE datasets implementation (2/3) CORE_03: 144 acquired, 140 available Acquisitions with SPOT-6 in 2013 New requirements expressed by EEA/DG ENV CORE_09: full sub-sarahan Africa coverage available; Confluence points delivery close to completion (99.9%) Acquisition still on-going for 6 CPs to improve cloud-cover

13 Current status of GSCDA: CORE datasets implementation (3/3) CORE_04 Global Land: nominal systematic access to VGT data by 7 users CORE_08 Monthly Europe MR: all achieved coverages in 2011 and 2012 available; 29 additional products identified and to be delivered in May CORE_11 Sea-Ice: nominal provision of CosmoSKYMED and Radarsat- 2 data to MyOcean2; minor delays in availability of new station for Cosmo-SKYMED and timeliness issue of TerraSAR-X new acquisition mode

14 Current status of GSCDA: ADDITIONAL on-demand datasets ( ) ADDitional datasets initiated out of the 429 defined in DAP; 9.8M km2 delivered out of 28.6M km2 allocated emergency activations handled in the DWH phase GSPs members /EU institutions/public Institutions/NGOs covered by license signature for access to GSCDA data 4. Over 100,000 products in CDS catalogue 5. Pleiades recently added to the portfolio; need to sign the addendum to the license.
