2 NOTICE INVITING TENDER M/S BALMER LAWRIE & CO. LTD. invite sealed tenders from competent and experienced suppliers with sound technical and financial capabilities for Tender for Comprehensive Service Contract for operation /maintenance and Overhauling of Iron Remover Filtration pressure Plant at 9B,Queen s Park,Kolkata SCOPE OF WORK The Scope of work of this tender consists of Comprehensive Service Contract for operation /maintenance and Overhauling of Iron Remover Filtration Pressure Water Plant at 9B,Queen s Park,Kolkata Raw water pumped from the existing tube well and passes through an oxidation chamber shall be filled up with manganese base catalytic media. The compressed air will be injected in the above oxidation chamber at a rate of 4cft/minute to convert soluble ferrous salt content in water to insoluble ferric form. The raw water after aeration to be delivered to the iron removal filter to arrest the ferric hydroxide and the suspended impurities, if any, content in water after oxidation. The iron free water available from the iron removal filter plant will then be chlorinated by bleaching powder solution through 8 gallons capacity bleaching powder to destroy disease producing or pathogenic bacteria to make it safe for human consumption. The treated water will then be delivered to the existing overhead storage tank by the existing piping arrangement. TENDER SUBMISSION Tender to be submitted under sealed covers, super scribed Tender for Comprehensive Service Contract for operation /maintenance and Overhauling of Iron Remover Filtration Pressure Water Plant at 9B,Queen s Park,Kolkata Tenderer are requested to submit Income Tax Clearance Certificate/ PAN card, service Tax Sales Tax clearance/ Registration, along with their offer, failing which their offer may be liable to be rejected. Detailed offer complete in all respects as stipulated in the General Conditions of contract should reach the Administration Department, by 3.00PM on 30/8/3. VALIDITY OF OFFER Tenderers shall keep their offer valid for a period of 60 Days from the date of opening of Technical bid. NON-CONFORMANCE Tenders not conforming to the above mentioned requirements are liable to be rejected. RIGHT OF ACCEPTANCE / REJECTION Mere issue of tender document and submission of bids does not necessarily qualify for consideration of bids. 4 NOTICE INVITING TENDER Annex-I We are having an Iron removal Pressure Plant containing Airmatic Equipment Co.make Compressor having displacement capacity of 4cft/minute with HP motor. The Plant has been designed to treat a normal flow rate of 2500 gallons to 4000 gallons of water / hour. We intend to cover the above plant for Overhauling as follows. You shall be responsible to get it tested from the laboratory and shall provide us Test Report as and called for when carried out. The cost to be borne by us. 6 NOTICE INVITING TENDER General Terms and Conditions for Comprehensive Service Contract for operation /maintenance of Iron Removal Filtration Pressure Plant and including Overhauling of the same situated at 9B,Queen s Park, Kolkata Service contract should be valid for One () year and may be extended for another years based on satisfactory services. 2. Servicing job has to be carried out meticulously by using proper materials and adequate work force. 3. Offers should be inclusive of necessary spares, all rates and taxes, duties, the Government or Statutory authorities levy Octroi and or any other duties. 4. Any spares of the plant and consumable commodities such as Salt/ chemical materials etc. should be supplied by the service provider as per our specimen at free of cost. 5. Supply should strictly confirm to the quality specified. Any deviation to this would be liable for rejection 6. a) Payment shall be made separately for operation maintenance and supply of items on monthly basis on completion of respective month. b) Supply bill shall be paid on the basis of actual consumption. c) 90 % Payment of Over hauling would be made after 30 days from the date of submission of bills for Overhauling and balance 0 % of the payment of gross amounts billed will be with held as Retention Money and will be released after completion and acceptance of work and performance maintenance period, which shall be twelve [2] months from the date of completion of overhauling. 7. While offering, please be informed that, in the event of your non-compliance to any of the stipulations as specified here in above, company also reserves the right to take appropriate action including termination of contract. 8. Qualified bidder will be deposited an amount equivalent to One [] month maintenance charges as a Security Deposit for the period of AMC. The above amount will be returned after completion of AMC, subject to satisfactory performance.

7 Special Terms and Condition NOTICE INVITING TENDER On terminated of the contract, the contractor will be required to hand over the plant and equipment in proper working condition irrespective of the mode of termination of the contract.. 2 ESI formalities are to be maintained, if applicable, without which no worker of the contractor will be allowed to work inside the premises. 3 Safety and security of the plant, equipment, tool and tackles, and material at site shall be solely the responsibility of the contractor during the contract period. The contractor shall take all necessary precaution to prevent wastage, damage or theft or loss whatsoever to the plant, machines, instruments, materials, control wiring, tools & tackles etc. 4 The contractor shall abide by the security regulation at site promulgated by the company from time to time. 5 The contractor at his own cost arrange for the safety provision stipulated by the government of local authorities in respect of all laborers directly or indirectly employed for the performance of the work. 6 The contractor shall maintain all necessary spares and consumable (Original) in their stock for attending the breakdown in time. 7 Service reports with short details of work carried out by the contractor shall be counter signed by the supervisor in charge of the water plant before submitting to the company. 8 All rates quoted shall remain valid till the completion of Q &M period and shall be free from variation due to increase or decrease in the cost of material, lay out, taxes, duties, and other levies or for any reason whatsoever.
