I WOOD I WALL I TECHBASE VIENNA > This technological- and founding centre provides about m 2 floor space for research in the fields of traffic technology, traffic telematics and renewable energy. > The buildings accommodating the impedance facilities and transformers had to be constructed exclusively out of nonconductive materials. > The external walls were constructed as prefabricated wooden framework walls. A larch three-layer board completed the façade. > The intermediate ceilings were made of glulam beams and glulam planks. > The roof construction consisted of monopitch glulam beams and universal roof elements. Business & Science Park Vienna GmbH 1010 Wien Porr Allgemeine Bauges. AG 1103 Wien Architekt DI Ernst Maurer 1030 Wien construction: 2005 Exterior wall surface: 295 m 2 Intermediate ceilings: 250 m 2 Roof surface: 250 m 2
I OBJECT I WALL I VIENNA LINES, TEMPORARY SITE OFFICES U 2/6, U 2/8 > In the course of the extension of the U2 subway, the Vienna Lines planned two-storey buildings for the lots U2/6 and U2/8. The buildings were to be constructed out of wooden prefabricated elements in accordance with contemporary technology instead of in the construction mode used to date. > Particular attention was paid to the reusability. That means that the entire construction can be taken apart and be rebuilt on a different site. > The Glöckel complete solution for these projects consisted of floor-tofloor wall elements with pre-fitted visible wooden panelling, glulam beamceilings as prefabricated elements and large-surface roof elements with factory pre-fitted GBS-sheet metal roofing. Wiener Linien GmbH&CoKG Alpine-Mayreder BauGmbH 1239 Wien Architekt DI Gerhard Moßburger, 1239 Wien construction: 2005 Wall surface: m 2 Roof surface: 460 m 2
I OBJECT I WALL I SCHÄRF WORLD COFFEE CONCEPTS > The Schärf company, which has become known for their coffee machines for the gastronomy, was to establish a new location featuring office- and presentation areas at the Neusiedl/See Technological Centre. > Particular focus was placed upon high-standard architecture and extravagant solutions. > The Glöckel solution to the originally planned steel construction with visible steel framework beams consisted of timber framework beams which were completely integrated into the wall construction. > Glöckel furthermore also built the ceiling construction and the entire roof solution. > As a particular highlight of this project, a conference room was constructed entirely out of wood in the shape of a coffee-bean. Technologiezentrum Neusiedl/See GesmbH Neusiedl/See Technologiezentrum Neusiedl/See GesmbH Neusiedl/See AW Architekten ZT GmbH/ Schärf the art of coffee DI Christoph Huber, 1200 Wien construction: 2004 Roof surface: 440 m 2 Wall area: 350 m 2
I WALL I ENNSTAL TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRE > This building was planned with multi-purpose usability in mind, the main emphasis being the use for offices. > Steel and wood, the predominantly used materials, were chosen by the building owner as symbols of regional attachment. > The entire external walls were constructed out of 2-storey curtain wall elements, covering the entire height of the building. > The façade was built with larch three-layer boards. > Glöckel universal roof elements (12 m span) with bituminous roofing were used for the roof construction. Nationalpark OÖ Kalkalpen, 4591 Molln, und TDZ Ennstal, Technologie- und Dienstleistungszentrum Ennstal GmbH, 4462 Reichraming Nationalpark OÖ Kalkalpen, 4591 Molln, und TDZ Ennstal, Technologie- und Dienstleistungszentrum Ennstal GmbH, 4462 Reichraming Delta Projektconsult, 4600 Wels Magk Architektur, 1050 Wien Synn Architekten, 1070 Wien construction: 2004 Total roof surface: 610 m 2 Total wall area: m 2
I ROOF I WALL I PARCEL DISTRIBUTION CENTRE VIENNA, HALBAN-KURZ-STRASSE > The task on hand was a supporting structure with a span of 26 m, simultaneously fulfilling the required F 60 fire protection standard and allowing for a two-sided 5,2 m cantilever without creating heat leaks. > In addition the roof elements had to fulfil the following requirements: as fast progress of construction work as possible, perforated indoor bottom view, F 30 fire protection standard. > In order to comply with the comprehensive requirements,glöckel provided saddle type shaped beams with a 5-degree roof pitch. Universal roof elements with sectional sheet roofing and ready-fitted bottom view were delivered and assembled on site to ascertain fast progress of the construction work. PTI Post & Telecom Immobiliengesellschaft mbh 1030 Wien ARGE KEP Wien Nord Schubrig GmbH-Steiner GmbH PTI Post & Telecom Immobiliengesellschaft mbh 1030 Wien construction: 2004 Width hall: 26 m Total surface roof elements: m 2 Total area wall elements: m 2
I WALL I EISENSTADT TECHNICAL HIGHSCHOOL > The main focus was on a roof- and wall system ascertaining fast progress of the construction work and on a roof- and wall construction corresponding to the building physics- and sound proofing technical requirements. > The architect placed particular emphasis on implementing the planned façade panelling with painted three-layer boards and integrated, panelled casements with exact distribution of the boards. > The wall elements were a particular challenge due to the numerous window-openings and continuous rows. > The façade elements across several floors were prefabricated by us according to the specifications and assembled on site with little timeand work effort. > The three-layer boards were also assembled on site. > All roof elements were supplied with complete roofing, the bottom view completed on site with gypsum plaster board panelling. Fachhochschulstudiengänge Burgenland Ges.m.b.H Eisenstadt ARGE FH Eisenstadt Strabag AG, Porr AG Mag. Ing. Johann Schandl 7000 Eisenstadt construction: 2002 Total surface roof elements: m 2 Total area wall elements: m 2
I WALL I KEBA OFFICE CENTRE LINZ > Essential components of the project were façade elements enabling the necessary window- and door openings, to ascertain fast progress of the construction work. In addition the façade elements should in part be curved. Fire resistance category F 30 was also part of the request. > The wall elements, which were constructed to correspond to fire resistance category F 30, were assembled to the reinforced concrete floors across several storeys. To facilitate concealed cabling and plumbing, the interior panelling out of gypsum plaster boards was assembled on site. The required window- and door openings were factory-made, the exterior panelling done on site with Alucobond. KEBA Facility Management 4041 Linz KEBA Facility Management 4041 Linz Atelier trafo Kirchmayr & Nöbauer GesbR, 1020 Wien construction: 2001 Total area wall elements: m 2
I OBJECT I ROOF I WALL I GEDERSDORF PRIMARY SCHOOL > For this primary school gym, the architect had planned a monopitch roof construction and a slanting exterior wall, broken up by wooden columns and wall elements. > Clear design and good acoustics inside the gym were particularly important to the architect. > The solution was a monopitch roof construction out of large surface roof elements with already factory-fitted sheet roofing and complete acoustic bottom view panelling, with openings for the subsequent fitting of light fixtures foreseen. The wall elements were also manufactured on a large scale in the axis module of the main beams.
