4 PRODUCT DETAILS Generl The Grendier externl plnter, is verstile, multi-use nd cost effective plnter, vilble in choice of mterils nd finishes to suit your scheme nd budget. The plnter is vilble in either FSC iroko hrdwood or FSC treted Europen, joinery qulity redwood. Plnters up to 2.8x2.8m pln size will be delivered fully ssembled redy for plnting. Lrger plnters will be mnufctured in sections nd delivered for ssembly on site. Other shpes cn be mnufctured nd supplied including:- tringulr, hexgonl, octgonl nd ny other irregulr stright sided shpe. Plnters cn be mnufctured with dditionl steel support to enble the plnters to be moved when fully plnted. Section thro plnter Construction The Grendier, ll timber plnter, is constructed by bolting 145x45mm section horizontl wlling slts to 95x95mm section posts. A 45x45mm corner fillet is fitted into the externl corner to ensure net detil. c g f c The internl bse is constructed using 100x47mm swn treted softwood berers, fixed to the posts nd fitted to joist hngers fixed to the min berers. Treted plywood sheeting is fixed down onto the berers. 45mm high timber blocks re fitted to the underside of the berers, to ensure tht the lod is sfely trnsferred to the ground. 5 PRODUCT SPECIFICATION Construction All Street Design products re designed nd mnufctured using only qulity, durble mterils, construction detils nd fixings, to provide long-lsting, durble life expectncy. Assembly Plnters up to 2.8 x 2.8m will be delivered to site fully ssembled for off loding nd positioning on site. Plnters lrger thn 2.8m will be supplied in sections for bolting together on site. Mterils Hrdwood plnters re constructed from FSC iroko hrdwood, from sustinble sources. Softwood plnters re constructed using FSC Europen redwood tht hs been Wolmnit CX treted, for desired service life of 30 yers minimum. All mild steel fixings will be M12 size nd hve bright zinc plted finish. Plnters will be fitted with Terrm 1000, geotextile filter fbric lining, which llows the wter to drin through the plnter, while retining the fill mteril. Stndrd finish FSC treted softwood nd iroko hrdwood will be left nturl to reduce the need for re-stining nd help reduce mintennce costs. Optionl finish If required, timber plnters cn be supplied with stined finish using 3 cots of quick drying wter bsed wood stin, to the colour of you choice. Mteril smples vilble on request. LED lighting Grendier plnters cn be supplied with pertures cut into the sides of the plnters or we cn dd timber berers or metl brckets to ccommodte your specified LED lighting products. The steel frme provides dditionl strength nd ensures suitble supports for the forklift tines. Pergol structures nd trellis pnels By extending the plnter posts, pergol structures nd trellis pnels cn be integrted into the plnter construction. Pergols nd trellis llow high level plnting nd crete shded res. Tree nchor fittings Grendier tree plnters cn be fitted with glvnised mild steel tree nchor points. They cn be fitted t the bottom of the plnter to help support the root bll nd they cn be fitted t the top of the plnter to help provide support for the tree. The tree nchors re mnufctured using 25x5mm mild steel flt. They hve two punched slots nd re fitted to the projecting bolt ends on the inside of the plnter. The tree nchors re hot dip glvnised. Bench seting Integrl plnter benches, with or without rmrests, cn be supplied with Grendier plnters. As stndrd 2 bench designs re vilble. Other designs cn be included upon request. The Bexley bench consists of 4 no. 70x45mm timber slts nd the Henley bench hs 2 no. 145x45mm wide bench slts. The timber slts bolt onto glvnised mild steel brckets, bolted to the plnter sides. Benches cn be fitted to 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides to suit your requirements. The choice of mteril nd finish is the sme s for the plnter. As stndrd the brckets will hve glvnised finish. As n optionl extr, they cn be polyester powder coted. Storge boxes Grendier plnters cn be mnufctured nd supplied with integrl storge boxes. The storge boxes re prticulrly useful for roof grdens plnters, to provide storge res for locl residents. M30 hex full nut Adjustble Foot Mounting Plte Swivel bse The swivel bse cn djust to llow for sloping ground with fll of up to 1 in 2.06 (26 ). Specifiction The djustble foot comprises of M30 Ø threded br, with sphericl end section, press fitted into blck reinforced polymide bse. The swivel bse cn tilt through 360º to ccommodte sloping ground levels. The threded br is BZP (bright zinc plted) treted. Fitting nd djustment Adjustble Foot The M30 djustble foot with swivel bse, is screwed into djustble foot mounting plte. The mild steel mounting plte with djustble foot housing, is fixed to the underside of the plnter bse. A M30 hex full nut is welded to the underside of the mounting plte. The djustble foot is djusted with 26mm wrench. Bolt down bse For extr security, it is possible to drill nd bolt through the bse of the djustble feet. Ref: 22/A

A4 (grde 316) cn be specified if the loction or project requires it. Plnters will be fitted with geotextile filter fbric lining, which llows the wter to drin through the plnter, while retining the fill mteril. Finishes FSC treted softwood nd iroko hrdwood will be left nturl to reduce the need for re-stining nd help reduce mintennce costs. If required, timber plnters cn be supplied with stined finish using 3 cots of quick drying wter bsed wood stin, to the colour of you choice. Mild steel components will be left with glvnised finish only. If required, fter hot dip glvnising, the mild steel components cn be polyester powder coted, to the colour of your choice. The glvnised prts re prepped, treted nd spryed with the polyester powder, before being bked in n oven. Stinless steel components will hve brushed finish. If required, the stinless steel components cn be supplied with mirror polished or bed blsted finish. Ref: 40/A

11 CARE & MAINTENANCE Generl All Grendier plnter products re mnufctured using qulity mterils, tretments nd finishes. The timber components re mnufctured from either FSC treted redwood or FSC iroko hrdwood. All products require vried mount of mintennce, depending on the environment, usge nd wether conditions. Nturl timber will only require clening. In time, stined timber will require re-coting. Mintining the stndrd FSC treted redwood finish Nturl finish treted redwood cn be wshed down with mild detergent. More stubborn surfce mrks cn be removed with light, hnd snd with 120 grit, or higher grde sndpper. Excessive snding should be voided. Mintining the stndrd FSC iroko hrdwood finish Nturl finish iroko hrdwood cn be wshed down with mild detergent.
