Systems Security System Building 1 was developed as a dual function facility and was a fully FDA compliant, validated GMP facility for clinical trials manufacturing. The second floor is a secondary process pilot facility to support the activities of the research and development scientists in the adjacent laboratory facilities. The first level was intended to contain support and storage areas for the pilot plant as well as to provide the central receiving, chemical storage and waste management functions for the site.
