2 Instructions to Trainee This has been designed to guide you through providing evidence that demonstrates your competency in the unit: BSBWHS401A Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet Unit description This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area in order to meet. Application of the unit This unit applies to workers with supervisory responsibilities for implementing and monitoring the organisation s WHS policies, procedures and programs in a work area. The unit applies to individuals with a broad knowledge of WHS policies who contribute welldeveloped skills in creating solutions to unpredictable problems through analysis and evaluation of information from a variety of sources. These workers provide supervision and guidance to others and have limited responsibility for the output of others. Unit requirements The unit requirements are shown in the table at the end of this. The Learning and Assessment process Your Trainer/Assessor will support you throughout the learning and assessment process. Training will involve face to face delivery, together with tasks that you will complete in order to develop the knowledge and skills required, and to demonstrate competency. You are expected to actively participate in all group and individual activities. If at any time during the learning and assessment process, your Trainer/Assessor considers that the safety of any person is at risk they will abort the session. 4 Assessment Task 3 This task requires you to work with your colleagues to identify what you need to do as a Frontline Manager, in order to comply with for preventing workplace bullying and harassment. Work with your colleagues to research the internet and find out if there is a specific Code of Practice in relation to bullying and harassment in your jurisdiction Complete the form below What is your State / Territory? Is there a specific Code of Practice in your jurisdiction? If you answered YES what is the title of the Code of Practice? YES NO Download the Code of Practice for ACT Work Health and Safety (Preventing and Responding to Bullying) Code of Practice 2012 and work with your colleagues to read and interpret it. Discuss with your colleagues how you, as a Frontline Manager, must act in order to prevent violence, bullying and harassment. Answer the questions in the table below.
