Founded in 2000 by social entrepreneur and four-time Olympic gold medalist Johann Olav Koss, Right To Play is headquartered in Toronto, Canada and has national fundraising offices in Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Regional offices are in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Our programs are facilitated by more than 600 international staff and 16,400 local volunteer Coaches. JOB SUMMARY: Right To Play has been implementing the Youth To Youth Program in Toronto since The Youth To Youth program is an educational mentorship program that provides enriching educational opportunities for children and youth in Toronto s model schools using the power of play. Youth To Youth empowers youth to become change-makers in their own community by harnessing their leadership potential to deliver quality youth-led programming to younger children. Youth To Youth is searching for 1 Program Coordinator to support and refine program delivery, develop and nurture new and existing partnerships, and implement and assess the impact of the program. Reporting to the Program Officer, Youth To Youth, the ideal candidate will possess considerable knowledge and experience in the Ontario education system, schools and board policies and have extensive program design and delivery experience. The candidate should also have superior organizational skills, exceptional written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to work in a highly dynamic and energetic team. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have advanced people skills, a strong understanding of the challenges facing children and youth attending model schools, a genuine commitment to social justice in Toronto and abroad, as well as a desire to provide quality programming for students across Canada.

2 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB RESPONSIBILITY #1: Program Development and Refinement (25% of Time): Review the outcomes and method of program delivery of the Youth To Youth Program Enhance existing Youth To Youth leadership training modules for teachers and youth by linking to current TDSB curriculum outcomes Liaise with inner city schools to conduct needs assessments to determine the most effective program model to meet their needs Liaise with the Ministry of Education, Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario and the Toronto District School Board to ensure that the Youth To Youth program model aligns with their vision and mission for teacher development JOB RESPONSIBILITY #2: Program Implementation (40% of Time): Conduct regular trainings for teachers and youth to help enhance their understanding, skills and awareness of the program outcomes and methodology Work with Principals and teachers on a regular basis to ensure that programming is wellsupported and effective Conduct regular site visits to support children, youth and teachers as they implement the programs Design and implement regular celebration events for teachers and students participating and excelling in the program Manage existing program partners and seek out new implementing partnerships that enhance programming within Youth To Youth Design and use tools to regularly assess the impact of the program, and make adjustments as necessary JOB RESPONSIBILITY #3: Monitoring, Evaluation and Communications (15% of Time): Refine and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework that clearly assesses the impact of Youth To Youth programming from the perspective of participants, teachers, administrators and the community at large Design and use tools to regularly assess the impact of the program, and make adjustments as necessary Distribute and collect monitoring and evaluation tool as well as assisting in data analysis and reporting Assist in the production and distribution of quarterly reports to all partner schools and donors that highlight the successes, challenges and next steps of the program JOB RESPONSIBILITY #4: Finance and Administration (20% of Time): Track all expenditures and submit all financial reports in a timely manner Draft monthly progress reports Work with the Program Officer to complete grant applications essential for sustaining the program

3 EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION: Required (must have): Bachelors degree in Education, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, International Development, or related field Masters degree in Teaching is an asset EXPERIENCE: Required (must have): 3-5 years of experience in program design and implementation At least 5 years of experience working with children/youth in priority neighbourhoods and schools Extensive experience in designing and facilitating dynamic and innovative workshops for children/youth in priority neighbourhoods Experience designing and/or leading youth employment programs Excellent coordination skills with a demonstrated track record of successful program development Demonstrated ability to establish a team-like environment in which staff, students, parents and teachers feel motivated to contribute to a project Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and to build capacity of other members of the team Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Experience with stakeholder relations and partnership development A results-based, task-oriented approach Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects Desired (asset): Experience designing innovative education and service learning programs Experience working in the TDSB Strong understanding of social justice Strong ability and understanding of anti-racist/ anti-oppression pedagogy Ability to work in a second language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic) is an asset
