3 Common Objectives Provide to SME s of the Transport & Logistics sector in relation with their customers, operational tools and ebusiness standardised reference models for efficient and seamless electronic exchanges of informations in an international and multimodal context. This covers transport, logistics, customs and other governmental agencies requirements with a strong emphasis on tracking/tracing and security of freight. Page : 3

9 Standardization and Regulations GESFIM brings into the program ICT SME s 2010 a unique expertise and know-how in B2B standardization for Transport/Logistics and Customs / Security regulations It accompanies change management and migration to modern ICT systems to improve the competitivness of SME s: training, documentation, recommendations, user guides, legal impact studies... It provides diffusion of project results and deployement within the business sector. Page : 9

11 Project B : Tracking / tracing and security of transported goods Multi-actors and multimodal to comply with new regulatory requirements. The aim is to provide to shippers (customers) services of tracking and secured transport of goods from the SME s transport providers One pilot site of the solution is developed on a multimodal platform with Carriers and Warehouses. Equivalent services are implemented on the server Nord-logistic.com A survey to measure the impact of the results and the satisfaction to be undertaken among the user SME s Page : 11
12 Project C: Optimal insertion of road transport in the systems of the industrial and commercial clients sectors The aim is to provide to Carriers SME s easily implementable «plug and play» ICT tools for: receiving in EDI mode standardized transport orders organizing electronically the «rendez vous» with shippers / consignors / consignees ( for example a truck entering at the gate of a maritime port...) regardless of their own information and communication support/media: PC, on board computer, mobile phone...
