3 About the Awards Marketing magazine s Marketing Excellence Awards was first launched in 2012 to celebrate the very best that Singapore s marketing communications services industry has to offer. The awards is in its sixth edition this year. This year, the prestigious awards presentation and gala dinner will be held at Shangri-La Hotel on 10 November Entries are open to organisations based in Singapore, and their marketing campaigns / projects / initiatives must be carried out in Singapore for the Singapore market, or for a regional / global market that includes Singapore. There are 33 contestable categories. Entrants will be judged across 33 categories with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each category. The most successful winner across all categories will be awarded the esteemed title of Marketer of the Year.

6 You re invited We humbly invite you to be a part of this reputable event by being one of the judges on our panel this year. No one else is more suited to appraise and critique the works of these marketers than you, experienced fellow marketers and experts who have been in the marketing business long enough to know what works and what doesn t. Lend your experience and industry knowledge to a programme that rewards the best marketing activities, campaigns and ideas in Singapore, and be a part of the committee that sets the standard for defining marketing excellence in the region.

7 JUDGING All entries will be judged solely by a judging panel. Judges scores will decide the finalists and winners for the 33 categories and the overall Marketer of the Year winners. Judges comprise of senior marketers and renowned industry practitioners. Your brand can still enter for the awards. Steps will be taken to ensure that there will be no conflict of interests with participating entries.

We understand that time is valuable, but we believe that associating yourself and your organisation with the MEA will yield tangible (and intangible) benefits: By judging the entrants work in the areas of Challenge, Strategy, Execution and Outcome, you will gain great insight into the current practices and quality of marketing in the industry and keep up to date on the key accounts, campaigns and future business plans of the organisations. 9 You will be privy to some of the best marketing strategies, campaigns and practices you would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn about. Strengthening your position as an expert/thought-leader in the marketing industry.

10 Judging Process Judging is done solely online during the judging period. You can view the entries via a unique and secured HTML link which will be ed to you before the judging period begins. You will input your scores on a form which you can return via at anytime before the judging deadline. To ensure flexibility, judging can be done at your own pace anytime, anywhere as long as it is within the judging timeframe. There will between 20 to 25 judges expected to take part in the panel. You will have 8 days, to go through an estimated 40 to 50 entries, amounting to approximately 10 hours in total.
