35 Conclusions Only 4000 markers: the advantage of GS should increase with the number of markers The best genetic gain for GPS compared to PS is at the first step : we predict the best combination of parents Diversity is decreasing and genetic gain stagnating after 20 years of selection: we should re-introduce some diversity at some point With high number of markers and crosses: need to code functions in C++ instead of R
