2 Organisation group is a privately owned group of companies with head office in the Netherlands, processing factories in India, Vietnam and the Netherlands and distribution facilities in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the USA. Its core business is in the sterilisation, grinding and distribution of single spices and sourcing and processing of dehydrated ingredients. We source, process and deliver semi-finished single spices and dehydrated ingredients in a cost efficient, consistent and trustworthy way. Annually delivers approx. 16,000 tons of spices and dehydrated ingredients to a range of global customers. Turnover during 2014 was in excess of $100 million of which 55% was realized in Europe, 20% in Northern America, 5% in South Africa and 20% in the Asia/Pacific region. Globally employs 330 employees. 3 Product grades The processing facilities in Vietnam, India and the Netherlands are capable of turning out a wide variety of different grades of whole, ground, cracked, sliced and kibbled products to customer specification. On an average supplies well over 150 different grades and types. To ensure that our finished products are free of foreign material all products processed by are cleaned and graded by using various types of cleaning equipment such as de-stoners, aspirators, spirals, magnets, sieves. In addition our plants are equipped with Ventilex and Revtech built steam sterilization equipment with an aggregate capacity of up to 5 tons per hour. This is complemented by a number of different types of mills, including cryogenic, blending and metal detection equipment, which all together facilitates a combined processing capacity of around 24,000 tons of homogenized finished products. Typical grades that can be produced are: Fine grind: Coarse ground: Cracked: 150 to 600 micron (60-34 mesh), 600 to 1000 micron (30-18 mesh), 1000 to 1700 micron (16-12 mesh), half berries. Packaging types can supply any size of packaging. Typically a product is packed in 25 kg bags, 625 kg bulk bags or 50 lbs carton boxes. Especially for preventing loss of volatile oil during transport and storage a new type of bag was developed. 7 -Farmers Partnership Programme believes that backward integration and sustainability are the main challenges for the food industry in the years ahead. In the spice sector many, often aging, smallholder farmers move to high intensive crops. Not only does this affect the scarcity of spices, it also has negative effects on the environment. To ensure that spice farming remains financially attractive and offers a sustainable livelihood for farmers has the ambition to develop backward integration programmes for farmers in Vietnam and India and other countries we work in. This ambition is laid down in the -Farmers Partnership Programme which defines the approach, key principles as well as the expected results. Current projects include sustainable cumin and turmeric farming in India and sustainable pepper farming in Vietnam, for which we obtained certification. 7
