Recommendation: To practice intercropping with pulses. Remarks: Good 2. Afforestation Name of the beneficiary: Community Total number of beneficiary: 19 Village: Hahe Completed under Head: Works Phase Area: 10 Acre Types of Plants: Teak Total no. of Plants: Estimated Cost: Rs.30000/- per acre Cost of per plant: Rs.22/- Year of Plantation: Irrigation Facility: From the pond constructed nearby the plot. Recommendation: To use termite powder instead of lime for controlling termite attack and to spray the insecticide at regular intervals. Remarks: Very Good. The wasteland has been developed into productive land by the plantation work.
3 3. Pond cum Percolation Tank Village: Angara Dimension: 100 x 100 x 15 Command Area: 4-5 ha. Benefit: 32 households are getting benefit through this pond by getting water for irrigation as well as drinking purpose. The ground water is also getting recharge by this structure. 4. Drip Irrigation Name of the beneficiary: Vasudev Munda Village: Angara Completed under Head: Production System Year of installation: Benefit: Various vegetables such as okra, tomatoes, potato and fruits like water melon have been produced so far. Recommendation: To practice the cultivation of off season vegetables in order to earn more profit. Remarks: Very Good. The beneficiary is practicing the mulching technique for vegetable cultivation at his own cost. He has prepared vermi compost bed and a small poly house at his own cost.
4 5. Mushroom Cultivation Name of the beneficiary: Vasudev Munda Village: Angara Completed under Head: Livelihood Variety of Mushroom: Oyster Remarks: Very Good. The beneficiary prepares 40 mushroom beds per month and earns up to Rs on a monthly basis. Since one year, he has been practicing the mushroom cultivation. He has received the 15 days training on mushroom cultivation in the year Dairy Development Name of the beneficiary: Mohan Mahto Village: Janu Completed under Head: Livelihood No. of Cow: One Remarks: Very Good. The beneficiary has started the dairy development work at his own cost. Only training for the dairy development has been provided by the IWMP at his own farm and getting motivated through the training, the beneficiary has started the dairy development work. Apart from this, the beneficiary has been provided with 700 nos. of teak plants covering an area around 1.60 acres. In addition, through the intercropping of ginger with an input around 70 kgs costing Rs.2500/-, it has resulted into yield of 400 kgs which has provided the beneficiary a profit of Rs.6000/-
5 7. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Sanjay Pahan Village: Angara Completed under Head: Works Phase Year of Construction: Size: 105 x 100 x 9 Command Area: 3 ha. Water Level: Water at three feet from bottom at present. Recommendation: Keeping the rill erosion in view, it was suggested for grass pitching around the bund of the pond. Remarks: Good. Horticulture Name of the beneficiary: Kamlu Mahto Village: Sirka Completed under Head: Works Phase Area: 1 Acre Types of Plants: Mango Variety of Plants: Aamrapali &Himsagar Total no. of Plants: 300 Estimated Cost: Rs.30000/- per acre Cost of per plant: Rs.50/- Year of Plantation: Distance between two plants: 10 x 10 Irrigation Facility: From the pond constructed nearby the plot. Survival Rate: 90% Recommendation: To practice intercropping with pulses. Remarks: Good 2. Afforestation Name of the beneficiary: Bhumeshwar Pahan Village: Narayansoso Panchayat: Sirka Completed under Head: Works Phase Area: 10 Dismil Types of Plants: Teak Total no. of Plants: 110 Estimated Cost: Rs.30000/- per acre Cost of per plant: Rs.22/- Year of Plantation: Irrigation Facility: From the pond constructed nearby the plot. Recommendation: To use termite powder instead of lime for controlling termite attack and to spray the insecticide at regular intervals.
7 Remarks: Good. The wasteland has been developed into productive land by the plantation work. The heights of the plants were found around 15feets. 3. Drip Irrigation Name of the beneficiary: Balram Mahto & Asru Mahto Village: Narayansoso Panchayat: Sirka Completed under Head: Production System Year of installation: Area: 2 Acre Benefit: Various vegetables such as okra, tomatoes, potato and beans have been produced so far. Recommendation: To practice the cultivation of off season vegetables in order to earn more profit. Remarks: Very Good. Earlier the soil was very hard but after the intervention of IWMP with this drip irrigation system, the land has been turned into cultivable land. Through IWMP cost the land has been leveled also. 4. Livelihood Total No. of SHGs in village: Seven Names of the SHGs: Jeevan Jyoti Manju Mahila Samiti, Sahiya Mahila Samuh, Parwati Mahila Samiti, Shiv Toli Mahila Samiti, Aarti Mahila Samiti, Jeevan Jyoti Ganga Mahila Samiti & Asha Mahila Samiti Name of the SHG interacted: Asha Mahila Samiti Village: Sonuabera Formation Year: No. of Members: 11 Secretary Name: Savita Devi Date of Meeting: Every week on sunday Amount of Savings: Rs. 10/- per member Rate of Interest: Rs.2/- per hundred for internal members and Rs.5/- per hundred per month for external members. IGA engaged in: Duckery, Goatry, Vermi Compost, Stitching Centre, Remarks: Good. The SHG was found to be very responsive. The common interest for income generating activity was found among the members. The book keeping and other records were found satisfactory. The SHGs have got the trainings on various themes like goatry, use of SRI techniques, watershed management, agriculture, tailoring and book keeping etc. and exposure visits to Jamshedpur District and Vellore Math. Till date the group has not financially assisted with Revolving Fund from the PIA.

IGA engaged in: Duckery, Goatry, Vermi Compost & Stitching Centre Remarks: Good. The SHG was found to be very responsive. The common interest for income generating activity was found among the members. The book keeping and other records were found satisfactory. The SHGs have got the trainings on various themes like goatry, use of SRI techniques, watershed management, agriculture, tailoring and book keeping etc. and exposure visits to Jamshedpur District and Vellore Math. Till date the group has not financially assisted with Revolving Fund from the PIA. They have been financially aided by NRLM with an amount of Rs.75,000/- out of which every member has purchased one no. of goats and one no. of piglet. The rest amount has been kept as reserve for working capital for other income generating activities. 6. Livelihood Total No. of SHGs in village: Three Name of the SHGs interacted: Jeevan Jyoti Mahila Samiti, Nai Disha MahilaSamiti and Jagriti Mahila Samiti. Name of the SHGs interacted: Nai Disha Mahila Samiti Village: Chandra Toli Formation Year: No. of Members: 11 Chairmen Name: Tiloka Devi Secretary Name: Bhadhi Devi Treasurer Name: Sarita Devi Date of Meeting: Every week on sunday Amount of Savings: Rs. 10/- per member Rate of Interest: Rs.2/- per hundred for internal members and Rs.5/- per hundred per month for external members. IGA engaged in: Lac Cultivation, Vegetables Cultivation, Duckery, Goatry & Vermi Compost
9 Remarks: Good. The SHG was found to be very responsive. The common interest for income generating activity was found among the members. The book keeping and other records were not found satisfactory. It was found that the minutes of the meetings conducted were not properly noted and without any agenda discussed, the members are just putting their signature. The SHGs have got the trainings on various themes like lac cultivation, nursing, horticulture, piggery, poultry, mushroom cultivation, goatry, use of SRI techniques, watershed management, agriculture and tailoring etc. and exposure visits to Vellore Math and Chattisgarh. Till date the group has not financially assisted with Revolving Fund from the PIA. They have been financially aided by NRLM with an amount of Rs.75,000/- out of which the group has invested Rs.15000/- in agricultural activities from which they have earned Rs /-as profit which they have distributed equally among the members. 7. Gravity Irrigation System Village: Narayansoso Panchayat: Sirka Command Area: 116 ha. Year of installation: Benefit: The gravity irrigation system is helpful in irrigating nearly 116 ha. of nearby lands. The water is available throughout the year. This activity included various NRM structures like gully plugging, drip irrigation, teak plantation, stone bunding and poly mulching. The beneficiaries nearby the gravity irrigation system are utilizing the water for paddy and vegetable cultivation. Remarks: Very Good
