3 Management and ownership of an end-to-end supply chain Competitive marketplace for grain Quality assurance GrainCorp s ownership of key assets forms a paddock to plate supply chain and allows us to provide quality assurance, confidence of supply and competitive pricing at every stage of the grain handling process. Our fully integrated operations start in regional communities with an extensive network of storage and accumulation sites, seamlessly linked to rail and road freight options. Our port facilities ensure rapid turnaround to provide a quality assured product around the world. The infrastructure to keep things moving GrainCorp owns the largest network of regional storage sites in eastern Australia with a total storage capacity of over 20 million tonnes (mmt). This is supported by an annual rail capacity exceeding 4 million tonnes, linked to GrainCorp s seven bulk export terminals. Through this infrastructure network we are able to provide grain exporters with the largest integrated supply chain in eastern Australia. Delivery capability locally and globally GrainCorp's seven bulk grain ports on the eastern seaboard make the company the largest exporter of bulk grain from eastern Australia. This scale, combined with our expertise and our international marketing offices, provide our customers with the comfort that we can deliver quality assured grain with confidence of supply. We have a proud track record of delivering innovative grain marketing technology and strong sales performance for Australian growers. The competitive marketplace created in our system means domestic and international grain buyers are actively competing to buy grain in our network, and our marketing teams provide direct access to domestic and global markets. There are over 100 active buyers in our system and our online marketplace. Buyers and sellers can choose from a range of transaction types. The high demand for grain in our system is underpinned by our ownership and expert management of key assets in the grain supply chain. This allows us to offer quality assured grain, efficiency in transport and confidence of supply. GrainCorp s quality assurance system operates along the entire supply chain from receival to customer delivery. We understand the importance of food safety and quality requirements to our customers. Our quality system begins with grading farmers loads on delivery. We strictly maintain quality in storage, and test commodities during loading to domestic and export markets, to ensure customer specifications are satisfied. Our testing along the supply chain is supported by a network of four NATA* accredited laboratories. The laboratories ensure that we are at the forefront of quality control, allowing GrainCorp to fulfil its commitment to deliver consistently high quality grain. In addition, our grain specialists provide advice to customers globally on grist management, malting and food barley analysis, food safety, grain/flour quality, micro-ingredients, grain storage and hygiene. Malt GrainCorp Malt is one of the world s top four commercial maltsters with a global footprint spanning four countries (Canada, UK, USA and Australia). We supply a wide range of malts to over 5,000 customers globally, including some of the world s leading brewers. We re also a major supplier to the growing craft beer, distillery and food manufacturing sectors. With a single point of contact worldwide and with industry respected expertise, GrainCorp Malt is able to ensure consistently high quality malt and confidence of supply. We are also able to offer our brewer customers full traceability of their grain to meet their sustainability requirements. Edible oils GrainCorp Oils is the largest processor of high quality edible oils in Australia and New Zealand.
