NCCS invites applications for following posts purely on temporary basis on the various extramural projects. We are looking for a motivated young scientist trained in protein biochemistry, advanced molecular biology and X-ray crystallography who will contribute to the project substantially and independently. 04 Dissecting the individual roles of Clta and Cltb in early mammalian development through selective CRISPR Cas 9 based knockout and knockin models. /Dr. Deepa Subramanyam M.Sc. in any branch of life science with minimum of 55% marks and two years of post-m.sc. research experience. Candidate should have qualified NET/GATE/LS /BET exam. Should have worked with mouse embryonic stem cells. Publication in the field is preferred. Should have prior experience working with CRISPR-Cas9, Genetically modified mice an understanding of pathways of intracellular trafficking Three 05 Acquisition of modern Orbitrap mass spectrometer for establishing state of the art proteomics facility at National Centre for Cell Science. /Dr. Srikanth Rapole M.Sc. in any branch of life science with minimum of 55% marks and two years of post-m.sc. research experience. Candidate should have qualified NET/GATE/LS /BET exam. Minimum two year research experience in mass spectrometry based proteomics or metabolomics and handling experience of LC MS/MS is desirable. Experience in cloning, molecular biology, confocal imaging, generating knockout cells using CRISPR-Cas9 technology preferred. Publication in the field or manuscript under review preferred. Must have experience working with embryonic stem cells for atleast 3 years. Experience in biochemical assay like measurement of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids in biological samples. Some experience in drosophila handling, drosophila genetics is desirable. Proficient in science communication skills, like making presentations, writing summaries etc. appropriate to a masters degree student.
