11 GEV System The Web Application (webapp) houses the needed algorithms, designs, and functionalities of the GEV Application. It communicates to the Web Service which serves as interface to the HBase Cluster. The queries to the database are abstracted from the Web Application to the Web Service to provide more security and flexibility.
