3 About CAMH The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centers in the area of addiction and mental health. The EPMO is currently undergoing an evaluation of its core services to identify strengths as well as opportunities for improvement Project Execution Capacity Building Customer Satisfaction Assessment of project success and alignment with CAMH strategy Assessment of project management skills within the EPMO and across the organization Assessment of staff and stakeholder satisfaction rates across a number of areas 9

11 Closing Slide Key Concepts Within an organization where project management is new to the culture or not fully embraced to develop a successful PMO, you may want to consider: Taking baby steps be strategic in the introduction of project management to the organization Build trust by following through on what you say you are going to do Identify and SHOW, through data, the value add of project management Ensure you are not having project teams document for the sake of documentation Maintain the rigor, but be flexible in your approach Have the PMO enable projects, NOT police them 11
