11 Closing Slide Key Concepts Within an organization where project management is new to the culture or not fully embraced to develop a successful PMO, you may want to consider: Taking baby steps be strategic in the introduction of project management to the organization Build trust by following through on what you say you are going to do Identify and SHOW, through data, the value add of project management Ensure you are not having project teams document for the sake of documentation Maintain the rigor, but be flexible in your approach Have the PMO enable projects, NOT police them 11
