3 Background SGIP process was adopted on July SGIP process establishes requirements to attach any small generator (0 to 10 MW) to the LIPA system. On March, 2016, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) updated Standardized Interconnection Requirements. Currently proposed changes to the Small Generator Interconnection Procedures (SGIP) are being noticed for public review and comment and will become effective on January 1,

Fee: Fee: CESIR Full Study - $2500 Supplementary Review - $2500 CESIR Full Study Fee: Utility shall provide the applicant with an estimate of costs associated with CESIR study 5

6 Online Interconnection Portal Streamline the SGIP application process to ensure the timely and efficient processing Accelerate application processing and provide greater transparency and efficiency around the interconnection process Will allow for online application submittal, automated application management and automated application screening. Automated Technical screening or largest majority of applications 0-50 kw and will also have criteria for >50 kw Integration of the online application portal with other processes (that includes Net Metering, Bill processing, and Equipment changes) will facilitate automated analysis, improved interconnection planning and enhanced customer communication 6

7 Portal Phases & Scope: Phase 1: Develop front-end web portal for existing PSEGLI customer inverter-based and non-inverter application requests. Integrate front-end web portal to current backend system Target Completion Date is by end of 2016 Phase 2: Refine Web Application portal to Allow all specified users to apply online for SGIP. Integrate front-end web portal to current backend system Automatic non-utility payment processing. Online status check/auto-notification.
