Basic Function and Scope: a) Equipment Integrity The static equipment engineer is responsible for providing engineering support to inspection personnel for issues affecting the static equipment integrity. b) Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS) i. Participate as a member of Hazardous Operations (HAZOP) team representing mechanical Engineering input. Participate in the review and approval of Management of Change Requests (MOC) c) Functions The Inspection Engineer position is responsible for: i. Support of the inspection organization in the construction, maintenance, inspection and safe operation of Static equipment. Technical support of inspection, including a) Development of repair or designs strategies b) Redesign of existing equipment i Support inspection in typical areas including: a) Alloy and non-metals selection b) Fracture mechanics and cryogenic design c) Paints, coatings and insulation d) Corrosion control e) Welding and heat treatment f) Failure analysis and chemical cleaning g) Review and non-process quality control (NPQC) in support of new purchases h) Evaluation of existing equipment for current and new service conditions i) Assess and seek for inspection/ndt techniques j) Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures k) Review and identified major concerns after each T/A l) Develop and implement action plan to resolve these concerns

Tasks and Duties: a) PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT: Safety is a core value issue for the Inspection Engineer that overrides production and schedule considerations. It includes personal safety of the people assigned to the startup, shutdowns or special daily activities as well as operational/process safety. i. Learns all safety policies and rules and understands all safety regulations as well as the information contained in Safety Standards Procedures. i iv. Perform a personal behavior audit according to the schedule defined by Sipchem organization. Attends the monthly safety meetings and taking corrective action on items assigned. Member of area HAZOP team, if assigned. Be fully familiar with HAZOP process. Review all deviation procedures. v. Participate in Accident / Incident Investigation Committees as required and recommend corrective action. b) QUALITY: i. Ensure the quality of the maintenance activities carried out prior to any system handover to operations as requested. Ensure that the Maintenance Quality critical procedures are used. Modifies such procedures as necessary. i Ensures compliance to the Sipchem Quality Policy and ISO-9002 & ISO procedures. Carries out ISO-9002 internal audits, as assigned, and develops plans for Corrective Action Reports. Follow up on completion of corrective actions. c) PRODUCTION AND COST:

Training/Qualifications a) Minimum Qualifications An inspection engineer must have a degree in mechanical engineering with a basic understanding of the mechanical engineering fundamentals including heat transfer, refractory, fluid dynamics, combustion, thermodynamics, statics, materials, and strength of materials. b) Inspection Knowledge o The inspection engineer should have a general knowledge of all applicable codes and standards. The inspection engineer must be able to interpret and apply these codes/standards to Static equipment. o The inspection engineer must have an understanding of the materials degradation mechanisms, the Static Equipment Quality Assurance System. c) Training o Each Inspection Engineer should have an individual training plan that has been developed by the section-manager. The training plans will be reviewed formally, approved by the Department Manager, and then submitted to the Sipchem Training Department. o The training plans will be maintained by the department section-manager and updated on an annual basis Behavior and Self Development: a) Has complete understanding of post qualification process. Review and discuss all Inspection and Maintenance procedures with all Inspection and Maintenance personnel to ensure correct understanding. b) Develop training material & questionnaire for Inspection and Maintenance. c) Work closely with the training coordinator and provide on the job training and spend enough time to train assigned personnel ensuring effectiveness. d) Hold regular discussions with the team members to improve their overall skills. Identify deficiencies and arrange refresher training through the Maintenance Training Coordinator. e) Present selected sections of training courses as per training schedule.

4 3. Work Contacts: Frequent contacts mainly at own level with other Inspection personnel to provide training, exchange information, explain, discuss and coordinate work. Obtain assistance on problems and coordinate work. Periodic contacts with equipment manufacturers, by correspondence, to obtain information and update manuals. Periodic contacts with contractors to explain work requirements, and occasional contacts with contractors to explain work requirements, and occasional contacts with local materials suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate capabilities. Regular contacts with Operations supervisory and specialist staff regarding problems related to machinery and equipment. 4. Independence of Operation: Works in accordance with established policies, procedures and engineering standards, in the identification and development of detailed routines, programs and procedures for Mechanical maintenance. Recommends changes in procedures and standards as required. Operates with a considerable degree of independence keeping supervisor advised of work activities and progress on a regular basis, reporting any significant problems and recommending investigations, plans and paperwork for approval. 5. Supervisory Responsibility: None. 6. Physical Effort: Walking, standing with occasional climbing for 30% of the work time, and sitting for 70% of the work time. Utilizes specialized measuring equipment. 7. Work Conditions: Exposed to dirt, grease, oil, noise, machinery and chemical fumes, vibration, and seasonal heat in semi air conditioned areas or outside, depending on work, for approximately 30% of work time.
