1 v10 Training Catalogue Page 1 of 14 TRAINING APPROACH Helix s approach to training is comprehensive and designed to ensure a smooth transition for our Customers from their previous system to Andar. During an Andar implementation, our instructors work closely with the developers at Helix to provide a coordinated approach to installation, conversion, training and cut over. Before training begins, our instructor will consult with the Customer to work out an agenda tailored specifically to the Customer s requirements and schedules. As well, our instructors provide Help Desk support when they are not on training road trips. This provides a certain amount of continuity in our support function for our Customers after they go live. Our preferred method of training is On-Site the instructor goes to the Customer s site and uses the Customer s database. This is preferred because students generally find using their own system and their own data much more meaningful than canned training sessions. Also, it has been determined that training is more successful when the instructor and the students are in the same location. We recognize that there may be times when on-site training is not feasible times when it is better to conduct training over the phone and internet. Therefore, many training sessions are offered Online - via WebEx technology that allows the trainer to log into the customer s site, view their monitor, and use either the Customer s or the instructor s database. Most of the online training sessions are focused on specific functional areas of Andar, and are appropriate as refresher courses or as courses for seasonal or new personnel. The online training sessions should ideally be limited to class sizes of 1-5 students, and class durations no longer than 2 days (4 half-day sessions). Following is an outline of the training sessions and classes being offered. Helix recognizes that each Customer has different requirements and business processes, and therefore training needs will vary. As indicated below, some training sessions are required (included in the Customer s contract with Helix), while others are not. It is highly recommended that Customers who purchase add-on Andar modules (such as e-pledge, Community Building, i-attend, etc.) also obtain training for those modules. Customized training sessions can also be designed to meet a customer s unique requirements. There may be some days, particularly during Section 2 User Training, where there will be more than 10 students who need to take the class. In this case, Helix strongly recommends that the same class be repeated over two or more days in order to keep the class size to the maximum recommended.

Additional staff may join the training from a remote location (home, their desk, etc.) for an additional fee of $75 per remote connection per session. High-speed internet access, a PC projector with a minimum of 1024 x 768 resolution, as well as a quality speakerphone, are all recommended for Online trainings. The fee for On-Site training is $2,000 per day plus expenses (flight / travel, accommodations). All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Applicable taxes are not included. Fees in effect January 1, Helix s Schedule of Fees is posted on our website (). Trainings, demos, presentations, etc., (whether on-site or online/web-based) may not be recorded, photographed, captured, etc., in any way without the written permission from Helix. Ideally, this training takes place when the Customer is ready to go live on Andar. Some teach more advanced core Andar functions, and are meant to bring users to the next level in their Andar usage. Others are offered as refreshers or as continued education. The sessions are designed in a modular way, so the Customer may pick and choose which ones are applicable to their organization. These classes should be scheduled after a Customer goes live on Andar - generally whenever the Customer feels confident that they have the basics mastered and are ready to use other features of the software.
