It s always the best policy to let an editor know well in advance if an article you are writing may be a few days late don t leave it until the last minute! Don t forget that good old fashioned relationship building is essential. It s always good to call up one of the construction magazine editors to talk about a feature idea you ve had, they do get bogged down in s and this is often the best way to secure a feature. Marina Always remember to make authoritative features exclusive to that publication. If you do manage to sell in an article on a similar theme, then make sure you do change at least 80 per cent of it, the last thing you want to do is upset one of the key construction publication editors.
