2 The new bathtub sealing tapes from DENSABAND The DENSABAND from Black Forest-based Sanitärwerke GmbH is the perfect fitting solution for bathtubs and shower trays. It effectively protects floors and walls from dampness, as well as any adjoining rooms from shower-related noise. Our bathtub sealing tape is easy to use and is now available in three different versions: BASIC, SOUNDPROOF and CUT-RESISTANT Important! The thin bathtub sealing tape can be embedded directly into the sealing material. The main advantage: Fixing does not require a thick, flexible adhesive layer that can be pushed towards the wall when pressure is applied to the surrounding tiles. This means that there is no danger of the tiles giving way and breaking, e.g. when bolting on (frameless glass) separating walls.

3 BASIS 2 3 DENSABAND Basic The flexible bathtub sealing tape Its FLEXIBILITY ensures that the soft tape can be embedded in the wall sealing very effectively. Its function as a CAPILLARY BARRIER provides effective protection from dampness and mould build-up in the bathroom. Integrated between the bathtub/shower tray and the wall, the DENSABAND Basic prevents dampness from penetrating walls and floors. Its EASE OF INSTALLATION makes the product the best alternative for beginners - reasonably priced, but still absolutely watertight.

4 DENSABAND Soundproof The effective soundproof bathtub sealing tape CAPILLARY BARRIER function, FLEXIBILITY and EASE OF INSTALLATION similar to the DENSABAND Basic. An EXPANSION zone ensures that the tape remains in place and stays watertight even after subsequent settling of the bathtub. SOUND INSULATION STRIPS effectively shield adjoining rooms from shower-related noise (meets DIN 4109* standards) and makes installation easier. The SPACER TAPE included in the delivery contents protects the joint area from soiling during the construction phase. The DENSABAND Soundproof features a non-woven strip with PUNCH HOLES on both sides. It ensures that the tape binds perfectly with the sealing material, thereby providing an optimal hold. This is so effective that it meets the workmanship standards for sealing wall connections specified by the German Tile and Natural Stone Association ("Composite sealing" information sheet, January 2010). 8 Better is better 5 good reasons to use DENSABAND 1 The perfect solution for corners Having been a standard method in the trade, pleating is now finally a thing of the past: Thanks to the corner pieces included in the delivery contents, all three bathtub sealing tapes can now be perfectly applied to corners that were previously hard to seal or awkward to reach - and all without having to crudely pleat or cut the tape in the corners - simply use the corner pieces (if required), place the tape around the corner, press firmly down and that's it. Another advantage of the DENSABAND CUT-RESISTANT: Due to the cut-resistant stainless steel mesh, the tape cannot be damaged. This ensures 100% watertightness and safety, while also reducing installation time. It moves flexibly with these settling movements so that the bathtub sealing tape does not detach. The smooth surface of the expansion zone functions as a capillary barrier and prevents the upward transition of any potential moisture. 9 BASIS 3 The easily installable SPACER TAPE Self-adhesive, 4 mm-thick thick foam spacer tape is included in the delivery contents to help create an appealing, parallel silicone joint that is free of acoustic bridging, fouling or grout residue (DENSABAND SOUNDPROOF and DENSABAND CUT-RESISTANT). This can simply be removed again following tiling. 10 Corner pieces Simple installation in just 4 steps The delivery contents of every DENSABAND version include a set of corner pieces. These make the installation of the bathtub sealing tape very straightforward, markedly reduce the workload and consequently ensure economy of time, safety and watertightness. The corner pieces are made from flexible butyl compound and, when required, can be perfectly attached to the outer corners of bathtubs and shower trays and formed into the desired shape by hand. 1 Determine the bathtub radius Determine the circumference using the radius template and position the corner pieces in accordance with the bathtub radius. R R Remove the protective film Remove the protective film from the corresponding corner piece. R

11 BASIS 3 Modelling Use the coated radius template to conveniently model the corner pieces and form them into the desired, right-angled shape Press on the bathtub sealing tape View from below: Firmly press the bathtub sealing tape into the corner using the thumb and index finger. Then, form a right-angled tip as a clean outer corner.
