9 Heavy Duty Hydraulic Equipment 09 Hydraulic Struts Hydraulic struts comprise of a series of extensions with a hydraulic unit at one end. The main advantages of the system is the speed of installation and removal compared with traditional fabricated systems. 13 Hydraulic Struts 13 Wireless Direct Load Monitoring Groundforce have developed a hands free system that uses wireless technology to provide a 24/7 load monitoring service for their hydraulic props. The key to this system is a specially designed and dedicated electronic load pin with integrated pre-calibrated strain gauges. The benefits of this system include:- Monitors ambient temperature and prop load Instant and Accurate Readings Results available via Groundforce website Pre-determined trigger levels Simple & Safe Operation Pre assembly by GF personnel No cabling Methods of accessing data The user can view the data in a clear and concise graphical format on a password protected area on Groundforce s website. A useful handheld monitor is also available for handy site use. Alerts can be sent via SMS or if pre determined trigger levels are reached. Props and load monitoring installed by Groundforce engineers inside Connaught Tunnel. Hydraulic MP250 props are quickly installed at Heathrow by Laing O Rourke.

A variety of MP500 hydraulic and mechanical props being used in the construction of the second Tyne crossing in Newcastle. 250T capacity struts spanning 48m, thus allowing unimpeded construction of a large basement in London.
