2 ABOUT US Brimaxx Consultants has come a long way since its creation in 2001 in the UAE. Over the past few years Brimaxx Consultants has gained a solid reputation by creating effective industrial design solutions for hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, universities, sports arenas and high-end commercial and residential projects.from comprehensive implementations for five-star luxury resorts to the most prestigious towers, Brimaxx signature can be seen globally at a number of prime landmarks. Today Brimaxx is also recognised as a corporate communications specialist. The company provides services from comprehensive marketing and graphic design to architectural services and signage consultancy. In 2010, Brimaxx Consultants have added hardware consultancy to their portfolio. Ms. Katie Tawil, a professional hardware consultant for the last 13 years, is heading this newly established division. She holds qualifications from The Guild of Architectural Ironmongery and is also registered with the Door & Hardware Institute, U.S.A. To facilitate the use of global resources for all clients, Brimaxx maintains associated offices in Berlin and Damascus. 2

3 Philosophy Our philosophy is straight forward! There is no out of the box design or concept we customize solutions according to requirements. We start with proper analysis and try to understand point of view and specific perception of the different user groups. We love to get involved in an early project stage to do proper research prior to beginning the actual concept, design and project implementation process. Our team consists of industrial designers, architects and project managers which seek to provide integrated solutions matching the project theme and ambience. Being pro active is the Brimaxx team spirit which can be felt through out every project. 3

4 Project Management Brimaxx internal project management is a carefully planned and organized effort to accomplish a successful implementation of our customized design solutions. This includes the development of project plans with goals and objectives, as well as specifications on tasks or how goals will be achieved. We allocate resources from all our departments and associate budgets and timelines for a successful completion. Signage Design When considering a new signage system for a project it is essential to spend sufficient time at the planning stage to examine the project in detail, to access the functions therein and their implications for a signage system. Carrying out this detailed analysis will ensure that the optimum solution will be achieved. After complete analysis and consideration of available documentation Brimaxx Consultants will develop the overall graphic & signage design which complements the unique architecture and ambience of projects. We understand our role as the signage Director and take the lead for the coordination with all other consultants in terms of technical advice for any relevant signage system requirements. Design objectives The main focus will be on the integration of individual character and reflection of look & feel of project components as well as traditional elements. Moreover key destinations, zoning and locations throughout project areas will be determined and serve as the basis for an efficient directional & guiding system. This includes the development of a efficient hierarchy for signage in terms of primary, secondary, directional, space identification, safety & security, and assures strict adherence to government/ municipality/ client/ operator guidelines as well as corporate and sustainability criteria/ guidelines. 8

Way-finding System & BOQ The indispensable and utmost important objective of the signage is to identify signage locations throughout projects and to develop signage as a project unification and identity element. Development of overall guiding systems which direct people to their destination with ease and efficiency as well as the preparation of BOQ s, specifications and production drawings. Outline of specifications and types of signage (wall signage, stands, etc.) considering the individual, architectural and facilities requirements as well as climatic conditions Definition of zoning and potential color schemes for ease of movement Deliverables will include Definition of focal points of pedestrian traffic Development of a logical and efficient guiding system Allocation of LCD screens for interactive guiding purposes 33
