3 Welcome BPDM (Building Project Design Manage) Limited is an international building design consultancy established in 2012 in the United Kingdom. Our head office is in London with a branch office in Malta. We are committed to providing a first class service in building design consultancy for the United Kingdom, European and worldwide property markets. About us We provide building design services for building projects within the residential, commercial, retail, leisure, educational and aviation sectors for private, public and institutional clients. Our core services include structural engineering, civil engineering and architectural design. Our experience covers both refurbishment of existing buildings and the design of new buildings. We offer an integrated design approach where required by combining all necessary design and management disciplines under one lead role through collaboration with our working partners. Our core services can be offered on an individual basis or where required we can work with client appointed external consultants to suit the project needs. Airports In 2014 we extended our services to the aviation sector where we have since worked successfully in collaboration with other aviation specialist firms on a large number of airport projects. In the United Kingdom we have worked on several terminal expansion or improvement projects at both Gatwick and Heathrow international airports outside London. Our work consisted of fulfilling the role of checking engineer for structural designs produced by contractor appointed structural engineering firms specializing in the design and execution of airport projects. In 2016 we were appointed by the successful consortium bidding for the new Palmerola International Airport in Honduras to carryout the full structural engineering design of this new airport terminal and ancillary buildings and structures. 4 Our Services We apply our technical expertise and experience in structural engineering to provide building design solutions that fully satisfy our client s aspirations whilst taking due regard of project constraints and opportunities. We work seamlessly with the project architect and other consultants to provide a fully co-ordinated design. We work exclusively using BIM (Building Information Modelling) platforms so as to co-ordinate our designs with all other design disciplines involved from the earliest point in the design development so as to achieve the highest level of design co-ordination possible. We are able to deliver the necessary structural engineering design input on airport projects of any size and level of complexity within throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and in any other region in the world. Our collaborative partners provide the complementary services necessary to fulfil a full multidisciplinary service where required. We have strong links with airport architects, airport planners, and airport civil engineering and infrastructure designers. Where further specialist input is needed in other related fields we source the required specialist input. IV

5 Our Strategy Philosophy We approach every project with the highest professionalism, greatest enthusiasm and determination to produce high quality sustainable airport projects which are responsive to their function and environment, elegant in form, materially efficient, cost effective and environmentally sustainable. Our partners collaborate with us closely on a project by project basis to provide a seamless design that is fully co-ordinated during every phase of the design development process to produce high quality airport projects that are delivered on time. Where a multi-disciplinary service is requested, we appoint a lead design director or project manager to oversee and coordinate all design disciplines involved. Each design discipline is led by the relevant director for each discipline acting as liaison with all other design discipline directors and the project manager or client. Organization Our organisational set up is highly flexible in respect of staff numbers, resources and mobility thereby allowing us to operate at the lowest possible cost base whilst maintaining the highest possible standards. This strategy allows us to service all types of clients effectively, from private clients to small and large organisations both private and public. Process Our working methods follow a systematic process where design and management solutions and decisions are carefully assessed and reviewed throughout the course of each project. Every design solution is backed by appropriate research and analysis. This ensures that the most appropriate design choices are made for each element of a project, so as to be fully compatible and co-ordinated across all disciplines and achieve all project goals. Design reviews take place in house for our core disciplines and externally with our collaborative partners where interdisciplinary co-ordination is required. All design reviews are documented to allow the design development process to be traceable so as to provide a system for error tracing and management and to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained. Our concept design work is carried out using a system of design development sketches which forms the basis of subsequent design phases of each project. This system allows concepts to be developed and shared with the design team and client whilst the design is under development thus providing feedback and allowing crucial interdisciplinary co-ordination to take place in the early stages. This provides a highly effective platform for developing concepts and studying their technical merits, applicability, buildability and co-ordination aspects. We work closely with our collaborative partners and suppliers to ensure that agreed time scales for delivering information are maintained. We promote the use of video conferencing and other remote collaboration tools to provide sufficiently frequent contact irrespective of where the design team, client and site are located. Our suppliers are carefully chosen to ensure that the quality of our work is maintained at the highest possible levels and in line with all relevant international standards. V

6 Our People Our team consists of highly trained individuals with excellent relevant experience spanning over two decades of work in the design of building structures. Our teams joint project experience ranges from residential and commercial refurbishment projects to large residential, commercial, leisure, educational and airport new build schemes. David Bonello Structural engineer & Architect CEng (UK) MICE MIStructE EUR ING ARB Director David s broad experience of both small and large complex projects within the commercial, industrial, retail, residential, defence, aviation, leisure and educational sectors has given him a great depth of knowledge and ability to lead numerous types of projects. His interest spans from refurbishment projects to new build with an emphasis on historic buildings, auditoria, long span and high rise structures in a wide range of structural materials and building systems. David has an eye for detail which is evident in the design philosophy he applies to his projects and a functional approach to design. His thorough understanding of construction detailing and building interfaces makes his involvement in all phases of the design development of a project vital. 7 Our Environmental Policy Our Quality Assurance Policy Our Commitment Our Commitment It is the policy of BPDM Limited to consider the environment seriously in every practical way when designing and specifying on our projects. Our choices of materials and construction methods have a direct link with the carbon footprint of the buildings we design. All employees are provided with a toolkit that illustrates the carbon footprint of the materials we design with in order to lower the environmental impact of the project we contribute towards. The following procedures are followed for each project we undertake: It is the policy of BPDM Limited to attach the greatest importance to the quality of the work we produce. Our deliverables are a reflection of our competence and every project undergoes a series of design reviews to ensure that the most appropriate designs are produced and in a timely manner. The following procedures are followed for each project we undertake: Design reviews to consider the environment and choice of both materials and methods for construction that have the lowest practical impact on the environment Initial design review to study and understand the design issues at hand Interim reviews to review the methods of analysis and design to be adopted Following a green checklist during the design process Checking of calculations and drawings prior to issue Comply with all relevant legislation and regulations of the country where the project is located Post project reviews to identify problems and lessons learnt It is our aim to promote the best environmentally sustainable practices possible in the design and specification of the buildings we design. 8 Palmerola Airport, Honduras BPDM worked with HTAL Architects to carry out the full structural design of the Car Park and Drop Off buildings, Terminal building and Pier buildings for this new international airport. Our work began at concept design stage developing the airport building structures together with the architect. Structural analysis and design was carried out for all buildings taking into account the seismic loading for the area classed as a seismic zone 4a area. This project includes reinforced concrete (frames and walls) and steelwork. All buildings share common structural systems for resisting gravity loads and lateral loads. All structure below Departures level is of reinforced concrete construction either as flat slab structures with reinforced concrete stability cores and reinforced concrete shear walls or reinforced concrete frames that provide their own stability. Above Departures level steelwork is used. Steel stability frames are used extensively with minimum use of vertical cross bracing so as not to interfere with open spaces and facades. The structural design took into account the regulations and codes for Honduras and made special consideration for local construction techniques and preferences. BIM (Building Information Modelling) was used through out the design and drawings process for seamless design coordination with the Architect, Building services Engineer and other specialist consultants. 9 Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom BPDM worked with SDB Structural Engineers, the client appointed structural engineers on several airport projects involving the upgrade or replacement of airport facilities such as baggage handling halls and other airport assets. Our role covered that of structural checker for the structural design and drawings produced by SDB for these projects. Our work begins at the point where SDB have completed their structural design and drawings. We follow a systematic approach for reviewing and checking calculations and drawings. This system makes use of a design verification record that is used to collect and exchange our comments on the designers work until the work has been signed off in full. A sign off letter is issued by us on completion. The following projects where undertaken between 2016 and 2018: Terminal 2 - New Baggage Area (Phases 3 and 5) - Category 2 structural check Terminal 5 - New Baggage Recovery Facility (Superstructure and Substructure) - Category 2 structural check Terminals 2 and 4 - Q6 Baggage HBS and Asset Replacement (Phases 1 to 15) - Category 2 structural check The types of structures involved in these projects and typically steel structures although some reinforced concrete structures are sometimes adopted.
