Maximum height 0.90 m. 2. Ceilings In the following text: M0 = incombustible M1 = permanently non-inflammable M2 = not easily inflammable M3 = medium inflammable M4 = easily inflammable. As a general rule full ceilings are forbidden. However, the following are tolerated to cover the stands: - M0 or M1 alveolus material such as Claustra, - Alternation of M0 or M1 materials chequered so as to create a largely openwork ceiling (50%), - Vertical strips of thin M0 or M1 material with spacing of at least 0.20m, - Horizontal strips of M0 or M1 material, provided their width does not exceed 1 m and that they are separated by a free space that is at least as wide as the strips, - Perforated plates of M0 or M1 material, provided the opening correspond to 50% of the plates surface, - Large-mesh fabric, offering limited resistance to water. The fabric must be at least M0 or M1. IMPORTANT: Classification of wood-based materials (Decree date 30 th June 1983). Are considered as corresponding to the specifications of materials in the M3 category: non-resinous solid wood with a thickness equal or exceeding 14 mm, resinous wood with a thickness equal or in excess of 18 mm, Panels made of wood by-products (plywood, boards, fibres, particles) with thickness equal or in excess of 18 mm. G - STANDS WITH MEZZANINE Exhibitors who want to create a mezzanine on their stand space must obtain prior authorisation. Requests for authorization must be sent to Déco Plus agency by December 1 st 2017 at the latest. The request for authorization must also be addressed to EUROPAIN & INTERSUC 2018 / Gl events Exhibitions - CS Lyon CEDEX 02- France. It must be sent together with a cheque for an amount of 219 ex vat per square meter of mezzanine to be constructed beyond 25% of the stand ground surface, this will be deducted from the final construction rights after the final calculation of the mezzanine surface and authorization to build delivered by Déco Plus. 1. Attestation of compliance with safety standards Upon receiving the authorization to build the mezzanine and depending on the actual surface allowed, the exhibitor must prepare the complete project and send it to EUROPAIN & INTERSUC Architecture Department who will review it for final approval and will forward a copy of said project to the Safety Services. As a result, the detailed plans for the stand and mezzanine must be sent as two copies for approval. The projects must comply, amongst other dispositions, with the requirements set forth in the articles concerning height restrictions and recess distances. IMPORTANT: Solid horizontal elements such as mezzanine floors and full ceilings must allow a recess of 1 m with respect to partition walls in order to leave a minimum distance of 4 m in between two stands featuring a mezzanine or full ceiling. The string courses must not exceed a height of 2.50 m above the floor level. If these string courses feature a sign or logo that is higher than 2.50 m, then it must comply with the recess requirements, in particular with respect to adjoining stands 2. Mezzanine floor surface 300 m² maximum pour l étage proprement dit. Un seul niveau d étage est autorisé. 3. Load bearing 250 kg/m 2 for mezzanines with less than 50 m 2 floor surface. 350 kg/m 2 for mezzanines with a floor surface in excess of 50 m 2. IMPORTANT: Exhibitors must provide calculation notes for their mezzanine stand and during its construction the latter must be controlled by a certified technical control firm. ATH phone: +33 (0) Fax +33 (0) can provide a list of approved technical control firms in the Paris region. The technical reports must be presented to the Safety Committee during their inspection on site in order for them to authorize the public access to the mezzanine. 5

6 4. Stairs Number of stairs per level and minimum width: The mezzanine must be accessible via well-distributed stairs. The number of stairs and the width of the steps depend of the floor surface to the mezzanines, as follows: Up to 19 m2: 1 stair 0.90 m, 20 to 50 m2: 2 stairs, one 0.90 m the other 0.60 m 51 to 100 m2: either 2 stairs 0.90 m, or 2 stairs one 1.40 m and the other 0.60 m 101 to 200 m2: 2 stairs, one 1.40 m, the other 0.90 m 201 to 300 m2: 2 stairs of 1.40 m. Only those stairs which closest outer uprights are distant by at least 5 m can be taken into account for the numbers of exits and passageways. All exits must be indicated with the mention Sortie in white characters clearly visible against a green background. Straight stairways Straight stairways intended for use by the pubic must be designed to comply with industry standards. The flights must be composed of a maximum of 25 steps. Moreover, where possible the direction of the flights must alternate. Step height: at least 13 cm and 17 cm maximum. Step width: at least 28 cm and 36 cm maximum. Step height and width must follow the relation 0.60 < 2 h + G < 0.64 m Step height and width must be identical within a given flight. However, this does not apply to the first step. The landings must be of the same width as the stairs. In the case of straight staircases their length must be at least on meter. Stairs with a width equal to at least one passage unit must be fitted with a handrail. Stairs with a width of two passage units or more must be fitted with a handrail on either side. Spiral staircases Standard or additional spiral staircases must be regularly balanced with no other landings than those leading onto the mezzanine. The stairs width and step height at the point of passage must be set at 0.60 m from the central axis and must respect industry standards mentioned in the above article. Moreover, the external section of the steps must not exceed 0.42 m. For staircases designed to fit only one passage unit, the handrail must be fitted on the outer side. Staircases: - Designed for one passage unit: A > 28 cm/b < 42 cm - Designed for two passage units: A > 28 cm/b < 42 cm Staircases featuring both straight and spiral flights: provided the different flights comply with the abovementioned standards such staircases will be considered to conform to the regulations and may be used in venues/establishments that are open to the public. Guardrails and ramps In compliance with French standards NF P and NF P guardrails and ramps must be able to withstand a thrust of 100 kilos per linear metre. Glass panels used as protection must be made of tempered or reinforced glass. Securit type of glass is forbidden. Location Staircases must be situated at a distance of 1 m or from partition walls with neighbouring stands so as to prevent direct view overlooking onto said stands. If two staircases are necessary these must be diametrically opposite. 5. Fire prevention and safety Each stand must be fitted with fire prevention and safety equipment as follows: water spray extinguisher located at the base of each staircase and a CO2 extinguisher located next to the electrical control panel. If the mezzanine floor surface exceeds 50m 2 additional fire safety equipment must be available and attended to by at least one safety agent during the hours the establishment is open to the public. 6. Transparency of the mezzanines The mezzanines can be used as signage while being openwork. The mezzanine façades must not be blocked or masked over more than 50 % of their surface. The rest of the façades must be fitted with guardrails that comply with the relevant safety rules. 7. Ceilings Mezzanines must not be covered with a solid ceiling or velum. Guardrail standards: NFP

7 H KITCHENS TASTING EVENTS 1. Tasting events Tasting proposed directly along the aisles is strictly forbidden. Cooking on the stands Temporary installation of cooking appliances associated with demonstrations and tasting events must comply with the requirements set forth in articles T31 T36 and T38-1 and must first be submitted for approval as operating equipment and machinery. In the following text: M0 = incombustible M1 = permanently non-inflammable M2 = not easily inflammable M3 = medium inflammable M4 = easily inflammable For all kitchens The floor (or table) supporting the cooking appliances must be made of incombustible material or covered with M0 material. Cooking appliances must be installed at a reasonable distance from any flammable material and must be set up so as to prevent any risk of fire. If the appliances are located next to a wall, a coating made of M0 material must be applied on this wall over a height of one meter. Electrical boards must be situated at least one metre from any water points. Each installation must be fitted with one or several extinguishers. Kitchens with electric power in excess of 20 kw: The kitchen must be installed in 1-hour fire retardant premises or module with 1-hour retardant fire door. The smoke and steam extraction flue must be 1-hour fire-retardant with installation of a 400 C extractor for one hour. Kitchens with electric power less than 20 kw: Each restaurant must be fitted with an extractor hood covering all cooking appliances. Each restaurant must be fitted with an overall circuit breaker covering all cooking appliances and equipment (where applicable one for gas supply and one for electric mains). The circuit-breakers must be clearly identified and easily accessible. The cooking appliances must be set either 0.50 m at least from the kitchen walls or insulated by installing incombustible material on the walls. Flexible tubing used to connect appliances to the gas supply must be changed before their use-by date. An attestation concerning the total power installed must be provided for the Safety Committee. Extractor hood specifications Pursuant to the sanitary regulations steam and smoke must be extracted using 3 filter extractor hoods (metal fabric, media or electrostatic active charcoal) ACCESSIBILITY FOR PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY Stands that feature a raised floor or any type of flooring that entails an elevation equal or in excess of 2.5 cm must feature one or several inclined sections in order to enable persons with reduced mobility to access the stands. The standard slope must be a least 0.90 m wide with a maximum slope of 5%. 7
