THE WARM WALL CAVITY RAIL SYSTEM 5 The system requirements by NHBC are for a clear drained cavity or drained and vented cavity between the insulation board and the sheathing board of the structure. This design is created by utilising the Knauf Marmorit Cavity Rail system, the creation of the cavity is achieved by packing off the horizontal rails from the substrate, with PVC shims and vertical T-Splines, interlocked in-between the rebated insulation. Utilising our range of basecoats, render finishes, colours and textures allows the designer to create compliant buildings without loss of design and colour. Using these so called ecological doublers is a fast and efficient way of upgrading an already insulated facade. Increasing requirements for thermal performance requires increased thicknesses of insulation, and sometimes makes the specification of systems for existing buildings extremely difficult. By using a Knauf Marmorit Warm Wall Duo system this is made much easier. Upgrading an external facade which has previously had an EFIS system installed with a purpose designed system from Knauf Marmorit gives the designer and building owner a flexible system. This will reduce the time and impact on the environment as the previous system, subject to a site survey, could be left in place and a new system installed over the top thereby reducing installation time and inconvenience to the building occupants. THE WARM WALL DUO SYSTEM Knauf Marmorit Warm Wall Duo EPS systems use a specially formulated adhesive to fix the Warm Wall Duo system to the existing system, and by using the Quix system at the base of the system, which is adhesively fixed, it removes the problem of fixing a starter track to the existing EFIS system. UP210 Basecoat is a lime / cement render for use as a water repellent basecoat to medium weight masonry, particularly suited to damp areas such as basements / cellars. UP210 provides a perfect base for the range of Knauf Marmorit s mineral, marble or silicon top coat finishes, which have a large choice of colour choices for the external facade finish. A water repellent and vapour permeable non combustible basecoat with superb strength makes UP210 a perfect choice, for manual or machine application. UP210 can also be used internally as a basecoat in damp areas for ceramic tiles or as a basecoat for the Presto scratch render range if required.

LUP222 Basecoat is an ideal product for light weight blocks, as it has a low stress and strength range.
