1 CATTLE WORKING FOR YOU Sale at the Ranch Monday April 8, 2013! (Private Treaty Sale Beginning April 9th) 26 head of standout yearling registered and commercial Red Angus Bulls 15 head of fancy yearling replacements Lunch will be served from 11:00am-1:00pm Bloodlines Include: Nebula MO45, Julian P172, Colorado Hobo, Norseman King, RCN Counterpoint, Above & Beyond, Cherokee Canyon & Buffalo Creek Chief STORM DATE APRIL 15, 2013

2 Page 2 Page 13 Greetings, Get ready for the 2013 bull sale! This year s offering is sure to please any cattlemen. We have a standout set of maternally backed bulls that are packed with muscle and performance and are sired by some of the best bulls in the industry. This year we will also be offering 15 head of fancy do it on their own replacement heifers (three registered and nine commercial). If the drought has done one good thing for the cattle industry it has caused cattlemen and women to cull exceptionally deep. However the drought has caused us to change how we develop our bulls. This year we were unable to turn bulls out on grass like we have done in previous years, however we can assure you they were developed right. These bulls were never pushed for maximum performance and were developed to ensure that they will breed more cows; for many breeding seasons to come. Take a look at this years offering, and we promise; you will not be disappointed. One thing I would like to point out is that although some of these bulls are a Category 3 RA they are in fact 87.5% RA or higher and are only recognized as Category 3 because there is a lack of records on several of our cows. Our heifers are treated the same as our cows and from the minute they are turned out of the corral after weaning, we expect them to go out and begin working for us. This year the heifers were turned out on grass and a failed milo crop, and in my opinion they have done exceptionally well (considering they are running on the driest part of our ranch). We do feed 7 tenths of a pound of cotton seed cake per day for about 75 days, but they are by no means pampered. We can guarantee that these heifers will go out and immediately go to work for you. Thank you for looking through our catalog and we look forward to seeing you all at our sale on April 8, Ranch Address: County Road 28 Karval, Colorado Sale Format This year we are going to try something new with our sale. We will be having a silent auction from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. There will be a central bidding location where you will give your buyers number and the price you wish to pay for the bull/hfr of your choosing. Each buyer will have the ability to bid an unlimited amount of times within the bidding window, once the bidding window has closed there will be a final call for anyone wishing to bid one last time. At this point if there are two or more individuals interested in the same animal we will have a vocal bid off until the bull/hfr is sold. We ask for bid increments of $ on all bulls and $50.00 on all heifers. There will be a supplement sheet containing fertility exams, and yearling weights available on the day of the sale. Terms & Guarantees All livestock are considered to be sound and all bulls will have passed a fertility exam prior to leaving the ranch. We will offer a free delivery to central points within 100 miles of the ranch. Delivery over 100 miles can be arranged for a fee. There will be a $25.00 discount on your total bill if you haul our cattle home the day of the sale. Full payment via cash or check is required the day of the sale. Absentee Bids We would like everyone to be in attendance on sale day, however if you are unable to attend we will accept mail in and phone bids prior to the start of the sale. Phone Bids:
