(EBA) has been retained by own a residential lot located at 5874 Oyama Lake Road in La yield of a water well located on the property, and to provide this information to the District of Lake Country. As such, we have reviewed pumping test data collected by Superior Pumps of Vernon, for a pumping test completed on January 2,2001. / Based on discussions with Mr. Steve Bennett of Superior Pumps, the well is completed in bedrock to a depth of 502 feet (153 m). The static water of the pumping test was reported at 50ft (15.2 m). The depth at which water well, presumably in bedrock fractures, is unknown. Superior Pumps, in test, reportedly set the test pump at approximately 400 ft (122 m) Pumping of the well was initiated at 5 Imperial gallons per minute (Igpm), or 3.8 x lo4 m3/s. This Fate was maintained for approximately 360 minutes (6 hours), which is the total time that the well was pumped. The total quantity of water pumped within the first hour was therefore 300 Igals (1364-litres). In turn, the total quantity of water pumped over the 6 hour period was 1800 Igals (8180 litres). For the 6 hour period of pumping, the total drawdown in the well was 39.6 ft, or m. This represents approximately 11.5% of the total available drawdown of 350 ft, or m in the well. Recovery of the well to m, or approximately 45% of the static water level, occurred within one hour after pumping was stopped. We have attached a record of the pumping test data and a time-drawdown curve used for our analysis of the data. Our understanding of the water well yield requirements for Lake Country, as stipulated in the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No , is not less than 20 litres per minute over a one hour period to a minimum of 2,300 litres per day per dwelling unit.

2 * a a s January 03,2001 ( Given the volumes, which were reportedly pumped from the well during testing and the measured response, it appears that the well is capable of meeting the requirements of the District of Lake Country Bylaw. With regards to the water quality of the well, our understanding is that water samples have been taken from the discharge during the pumping test and subsequently sent to a local laboratory for water quality testing. Apparently, the owners will provide this information directly to the District of Lake Country. In closing, it should be noted that analysis completed for this report has been based on information provided by third parties, and that EBA has not undertaken independent investigations to confirm the accuracy nor the validity of the data. EBA has relied in good faith on the third party information. The analysis does not account for mutual well interference created by nearby operating wells, which if present, could effect local groundwater levels and future well yields. Furthermore, the comments contained herein are based on generally accepted engineering methods and practice.
