7 Biogas enabler of sustainable local transportation and nutrient rotation ecosystem ü Local transport system based on local renewable fuel ü Improved nutrient rotation in the area through better waste management and advanced farming ü Local jobs ü Less greenhouse gas and particle emissions ü Less dependency on imports 7

8 Biogas requires a different business ecosystem Biofuels have a fundamentally different business logic compared to fossil fuels. Raw materials for biofuels have a low energy content which implies short transportation distances. Need for small local production plants and integration with local companies outside of the traditional energy business: waste management and food production industry Need to establish multiple local ecosystems - expansion of biofuel business to new locations will require several local production plants (as opposed to one centralized).
