3 Social Event Saturday Night (Limited to the first 50 registrations on a first come first served basis) On Saturday, September 19, join the IOA to watch the Texas Rangers play the Seattle Mariners. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the Gaylord Texan Hotel to Globe Life Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. Seats will include All-You-Can-Eat grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, and soft drinks. 4 Workshops - Sunday (Each workshop is limited to the first 50 registrations on a first come first served basis) On Sunday, September 20, two workshops will be offered to attendees focused on Ozone Basics and Recent Developments in Biofiltration Performance. Lunch is included with your registration fee. The Ozone Basics workshop will review ozone process fundamentals and important considerations for safe and successful ozone process operation. The workshop will include practical design, control, operational, maintenance, and safety information for participants that are both new and experienced with ozone. In addition, the workshop will include the opportunity to discuss your experiences and questions with your peers and leaders in the industry. Utility managers, operators, consulting engineers, manufacturers, regulators, and academics interested in ozone water treatment will find this workshop useful. The Agenda for the workshop can be on our website at: Many treatment plants that use ozone also practice biofiltration creating some synergy between these technologies. Recent Developments in Biofiltration Performance will be cohosted with the Water Research Foundation. Dr. Hsiao-wen Chen, Research Manager with the Foundation, will moderate the workshop that will showcase several Foundation projects, utility experiences, and manufacturer demonstrations. Workshop attendees can learn about 7 Foundation projects (4215, 4231, 4346, 4448, 4459, 4525, 4559) focused on biofiltration from the speakers currently scheduled to participate in the workshop. Topics will include biofiltration practices and optimization, contaminant removal and water reuse applications, utility experiences, and manufacturer demonstrations. 5 Banquet Tuesday Night (Limited to the first 90 registrations on a first come first served basis) Join the IOA on Tuesday night for the Conference Banquet. This ticketed event will be held at the Dino s Steak and Claw House in Grapevine, Texas. The cost to attend the banquet is $125 and can be included as an Ala Carte Option on your registration form.

6 Technical Tour - Wednesday (Limited to the first 50 registrations on a first come first served basis) Come and visit the largest municipal ozone installation in North America! The North Texas Municipal Water District is located in Wylie, Texas and supplies water to Member Cities and Wholesale Customers in the northeast portion of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The facility has a design capacity of 770 MGD and implemented ozonation downstream from sedimentation to control chlorination disinfection byproducts and taste- and odor-causing compounds. The Facility has a total installed capacity of 42,900 lbs/day consisting of 11 generators, each capable of 3,900 lbs/day at 12 percent weight ozone. The system also includes chillers, 11 ozone contactors, sidestream injection, and 17 ozone destruct units. Everything is bigger in Texas. Come see the largest of them all. The second stop on the technical tour will include the Dallas Zoo. The Dallas Zoo is a 106-acre zoo located 3 miles south of downtown Dallas, Texas, in Marsalis Park. Established in 1888, it is the oldest and largest zoological park in Texas. Today the zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals. We will start off with an all you can eat lunch buffet when we arrive. The IOA will be touring the penguin and otter ozone sites as well. The tours are scheduled to drop off attendees at the Texas, Dallas Love Field Airport at 3:45pm and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 4:45pm.
