2 Advanced Conversion Technologies the story so far True ACT potentially offers a number of clear process advantages: Higher efficiency (especially at smaller scales) Lower capex Multiple End-Products Plants more acceptable to public - lower emissions (End of Waste), smaller footprint The use of syngas in an internal combustion engine (reciprocating or gas turbine) has traditionally been marred by a number of issues: Tar Variations in gas quality Management of ash fouling Ash/char disposal High operating costs Significant number of failed projects but this also means that the handful of technologies that have emerged as a consequence of the learnings actually do work. A successful ACT technology must not only be robust but also cost effective.

3 Introduction to SynTech An advanced technology company focusing on providing on-site continuous clean energy on modular scalable platforms. SynTech s wholly owned subsidiary Community Power Corporation (CPC) manufactures BioMax, a modular advanced thermal conversion system rated at 150 kwe. SynTech s FluiMax range consists of a fluidized bed gasification system combined with an innovative thermal conversion approach under exclusive licence from the Energy Technologies Institute. SynTech has been selected by the ETI (following an extensive due diligence process) to deliver a flagship commercial ACT facility in the UK. The technology is unique in its compactness, high efficiency and cost-effectiveness for future energy needs. SynTech has experience in delivering real world projects using advanced technologies.

5 SynTech Energy Centre (SEC) SEC is a flagship commercial demonstrator project currently under construction in the UK Midlands. The circa 10m project started formally at the end of Uses Fluimax - a robust pressurised fluidised bed technology with a high temperature treatment to produce a consistently high quality, hydrogen-rich syngas. Power will be generated using a specially adapted syngas engine. Will produce ~1.5MWe net power at high efficiency from a variety of C&I and MSW based feedstocks. Dordtech Power generation integrator Mace Project Control and Governance Syntech Syntech Energy Centre & STBe UK Frontline Gasification Island Site will include a unique syngas testing facility. Site will also demonstrate methanol synthesis with industry leading yield levels. ETI Investment and IP Otto Simon Ltd Principal Designer & Contractor

6 Technology Validation Uses the proven FluiMax platform and process areas are also based on proven technologies. Rigorous integration engineering including advanced simulation work and testing at SynTech s BECON pilot facility. Over $10m spent in development. The technology has undergone extensive due diligence: ETI Due Diligence over 1.5M spent on independent rigorous investigations and risk mitigation work over 18 month period. Further Independent Due Diligence: Technology has been risk mitigated to an unprecedented extent This is the most comprehensive analysis of issues impacting plant availability that we have seen in the field of EfW project development The SEC project will demonstrate a robust, high efficiency and cost effective ACT suitable for global markets.

7 Conclusions The plant will complete commissioning in December 2017 and be fully operational by March An extensive demonstration campaign over 8000 operating hours will follow, with involvement from Lender s Technical Advisors. A significant pipeline of projects has already been identified with strategic partners.
