1 ROLE PROFILE Role title Location Reporting structure SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER NETCARE HEAD OFFICE NATIONAL TECHNICAL MANAGER Closing date 22 DECEMBER 2016 ROLE SUMMARY The incumbent will be responsible for all projects that are either planned or being implemented within the respective region. The SPM has a dual function of stakeholder management with the Project Sponsor and Owner, together with a responsibility to the Project Portfolio Manager in terms of project delivery. It is envisaged that there may be at least [150] projects being undertaken in a region and these shall consist of new build, refurbishment, engineering, sustainability and minor projects. The SPM will need to co-ordinate all of these projects with the Project Owner and Project Portfolio Manager. KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage the interface between the Project Owner and the project teams, including regular progress reporting. Responsible for developing projects for approval. Responsible for the successful delivery of the project benefit to the Project Sponsor/Owner. Successful delivery of all regional projects in terms of project scope, time, resource, cost and project benefits, during the entire project lifecycle (stage 1-6). Monitor the project according to the project management methodology and ensure that the governance standards are adhered to. Ensure that all projects are managed through PPO and that all reports are in the required format. Attend, where required, relevant project meetings and workshops. Provide project leadership, guidance and governance within the region. Ensure that the final product and project benefit meets the requirements of the Project Owner. Plan, prioritise, track and remediate task allocation to meet regional objectives. Monitor, audit and correct regional cashflows and project payments.

2 Build and motivate a performing team. Manage regional budgets and cost control, ensuring compliance with the Group Approvals Framework. Prepare, monitor and implement budgets for Capital projects. Ensure accurate reporting of progress, budgets and general reporting as and when required. Liaise and work with the various Business Unit Heads to align the objectives/outcomes of assigned projects with the Business Units overall strategy and business goals. Establish priorities within the overall program and ensure project teams are adequately resourced by aptly allocating people and technical resources to individual teams in line with those priorities. Plan, co-ordinate and implement regional projects according to sound Construction Project Management principals, with specific focus on the PMBOK principals of Project Management. Co-ordinate and mobilise full professional teams on projects, ensuring compliance and good industry practice, including compliance with project stages and funding approvals. Attend to all property related matters i.e. town planning, disposals and acquisitions, etc. Ensure that the project delivery teams regularly update and use the PPO system for capturing all the required details. Implement corrective actions where this is not occurring to the required standards. Monitor project performance and manage service delivery using an evidence informed approach to improve outcomes for customers. Implement and manage all parts of the customer experience. Manage resources and ensure additional resources are assigned when needed. Identify, select and prioritise new projects, including and involvement in benefiting management and business case continuity. Providing advice and recommendations to senior management on projects. Work with customers and operation teams to ensure service improvement activities are implemented when required. Provide an effective on-call response service, as appropriate, supplemented by qualified team members. Research and stay abreast of best practice. Assist with improving /developing and maintaining of the Group Project and Engineering policies and specifications. Implement and monitor sound procurement principals within the Group policies. Apply risk management principles to all projects within the different stages of development. Ensure quality control of projects through monitoring of professional teams, documentation and construction processes.

3 SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION National Diploma in Electrical: Clinical Engineering (S4) at NQF level 6. Healthcare industry knowledge. WORK EXPERIENCE Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to statutory and regulatory requirements within the healthcare industry years experience in project management. Clinical engineering background is essential. KNOWLEDGE Demonstrated ability to influence, educate and interact with diverse teams across the organisation. Experience in working with development teams. Experience in Root Cause Analysis(RCA). Understand the principles of Asset Management.
