3 April April IN-NED Commissarissen Forum AGM IAA NL The Commissarissen Forum is inspired by the main module of the INSEAD Non-Executive Director s Programme. During this three-day retreat, the participants focus on the dynamics within the Non-Executive Board and the interaction with the Executive Board. The Commissarissen Forum will be moderated by Erik van de Loo, Professor at INSEAD Global Leadership Centre, and Professor of Leadership and Behaviour at the VU, Amsterdam; together with Jaap Winter, lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Professor at the Duisenberg School of Finance, and the UVA. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled to take place prior to this year s Booz Strategy Forum. During the AGM, the Dutch IAA board will look back on the achievements of the past year, and discuss the association s ambitions and plans for the coming year. A perfect opportunity to give your input on the IAA NL plans! The moderators will share the core of their module with a selected, small number of Non-Executive Directors of Dutch large companies, during an interactive afternoon and evening. 4 April Booz Strategy Forum: A new generation of employees: low in numbers, high in demand(s) Structural shortages of labour supply are expected for the coming decades, in particular for high skilled labour. Similar dynamics are playing out across most Western European economies. This demographic shift poses a double challenge to employers. Not only will they increasingly struggle to replete their work force with young talent, they will also have to deal with changing expectations, views and attitudes that young generations have towards employment and employers. Flexibility, personal development, social interaction and a healthy balance between work and other activities becomes more important. Hierarchical, top-down management styles do not work anymore. Employee loyalty is no longer a given. How should companies react to these changes? What strategies should companies deploy to attract, motivate and retain young talent, that is low in numbers, but high in demands? Key-note speaker Ben Noteboom, CEO Randstad, will engage in a debate on potential approaches and strategies with Prof. Kees Cools, partner at Booz & Company. 5 May Meet the Company: Equens June INSEAD Coaching Event On Tuesday May 24th we get the opportunity to see how all or at least most of our money is processed. Processing nearly 9 billion payments and handling 3.2 billion ATM and POS transactions a year, Equens (formerly known as Interpay) is one of Europe s largest payment processors. Equens handles one of every ten transactions in the eurozone and manages more than 45 million cards. Our alumnus, Goetz Moeller, board member at Equens will give us an insight into the rapid developments in this industry. And maybe we even get the chance to see the "bridge" - which is the control room overseeing all payments... This is the opportunity to find your personal coach (for free!). Senior INSEAD alumni have indicated their interest to coach younger INSEAD alumni. At the INSEAD Business & Career coaching event the younger generations of alumni get to meet several coaches and select their personal coach out of this group of senior alumni. 6 June Salamander Road Challenge 2011 Midsummer Night in Gelderland! Once again the INSEAD alumni will be hitting the roads for a fun filled event - our 7th Salamander Road Challenge - Friday evening (Prologue) and Saturday, June 17th & 18th - this time back in the Netherlands, in scenic Gelderland.
