Local schools may choose to have nonscheduled employees work on the Parent-Teacher Conference Days and compensate them through the local school budget. Parent-Teacher Conference Days: included in the scheduled work year for principals, assistant principals, counselors, school secretaries, bookkeepers, attendance clerks, family/youth resource center coordinators and clerks, career planners, order and receiving clerks, and other employee groups as specified by the working calendar. The Parent-Teacher Conference Day originally scheduled for February 26 th will become two evening conference periods to be held during pay period 2/26/18-3/9/18. Teachers must work both evenings to be paid for PTC day. Employees do NOT work the following days on a calendar less than 260 days: 9/4; 12-24; 12/20 1/1; 1/15; 4/2-4/6;, unless specified in the employee group s working calendar. - PAID HOLI 260 Work Day Employees All 260-day employees have nine paid holidays. The following days are approved for the - school year. Independence Day July 4, Labor Day September 4, Thanksgiving Day November 23, Day after Thanksgiving November 24, Christmas Day December 25, New Year s Day January 1, Martin Luther King, Jr., Birthday January 15, Memorial Day May 28, 1 Flexible Holiday to be used on any other day pre-approved by your supervisor. The flexible holiday does not carry over. If not taken in the - school year, it will be lost.
