We are an approved centre for professional health and safety bodies such as IOSH and Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and have been providing first aid training in line with Executive (HSE) guidelines for over 20 years. Using our dedicated Curriculum Team, all of our training is mapped to national occupational standards, legislative requirements and official guidelines. Creating safer working environments Trusted Provider Established in 1997, we are proud to have a team of highly qualified trainers operating 7 days a week throughout the UK. Quality Assurance With a curriculum team and your very own account manager, we guarantee a high quality, consistent and reliable service.
5 All employers must assess the first aid needs of their workplace, taking into account their business size, number of employees and the nature of their work activity. As an absolute minimum, a low-risk workplace such as a small office should have a first aid box and a person appointed to manage first aid arrangements. For workplaces with more significant health and safety risks, or as a sensible precaution for all workplaces, a fully trained first aider is required. Employers must provide clear, appropriate and effective training in health and safety for their employees. Health and safety training should be provided to new recruits, people changing job roles or taking on additional respo nsibilities, young employees and designated safety representatives. It should enable all employees to work safely, minimise risks and correctly follow any emergency procedures. Employers must ensure that all staff are provided with instructions and training to enable them to respond correctly and safely in an emergency fire situation, as well as understand how to minimise fire risks. For senior employees and individuals nominated as Fire Wardens for their workplace, more in-depth fire safety knowledge is required. If food is prepared, handled, stored or served in your workplace then you must ensure that it is safe to eat. This means ensuring that all employees involved in food processes have undergone adequate training to enable them to meet food hygiene regulations and keep food safe. Special Focus Some work activities are high risk and present specific hazards which must be controlled in a certain way and which are covered by particular sets of legislation. Employers must ensure that any staff members undertaking these types of activities undergo relevant training to enable them to carry out their roles safely. We provide a wide range of training to help achieve this, including courses such as Abrasive Wheels, CSCS Card Test Training, Tower Scaffolding and Forklift Truck Training. Mental Health & Wellbeing Employers have a duty to protect the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees. With recent HSE figures suggesting that 0.5 million workers are affected by work-related stress, depression and anxiety each year, it could be time you considered introducing training for your team to increase awareness and understanding of mental health problems, the signs and symptoms, and proactive techniques to promote wellbeing. We have a range of training solutions available from distance learning to half-day and full-day courses and MHFA England accredited programmes.
6 Workplace Training Courses are delivered at your premises or venue of your choice, wherever you are based. s stated below are for a minimum of 2 and maximum of 12 delegates. For details of alternative group sizes, please call us on freephone We can also offer options for externally accredited training through Highfield, IOSH or Advantage Accreditation, please contact us for details and pricing.
