5 Centers of Excellence Mission The Centers of Excellence, in partnership with business and industry, deliver statewide, regional, and local workforce research customized for community college decision making and resource development.

7 Center of Excellence Goals Identify opportunities and trends in high growth, emerging, and economically critical industries and occupations. Assess the gap between labor market demand, available training, and program graduates. Help colleges increase their ability to respond to workforce needs by providing them better information for decision-making.

9 Decision Support for Colleges Where are existing programs compared to where employers are located? Is there an adequate supply to meet the labor market demand? How prepared is the workforce from an industry perspective and where are skill gaps? Should our college(s) add courses or new programs? Should our college(s) reduce, modify or retire programs?
