1 ShipRite 2016 Carrier Update Instructions The 2016 Carrier Rate Update is now available. The major components of this update are: FedEx 2016 rate updates. This year the carriers have different release dates for their new rates. The effective dates of the 2016 rates are below. You will have to separately download and apply the rates on each one of the dates below. All the updates will be available for download before the due date. WHO should download these rate updates: ALL Centers in the USA. Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands do not perform this update. Guam and Virgin Islands need to submit a support ticket if they use any of these 3 carriers: UPS, FEDEX, and DHL. Update Due Date UPS - Monday, December 28th, 2015 DHL Saturday, January 2 nd 2016 FedEx Monday, January 4 th 2016 Update available for download DONE DONE Friday, Jan. 1st 2016 USPS Rates take effect on January 17 th. We will have a separate update at that time. Here are your CRITICAL TASKS for this update: TASK #1: By Monday, January 5 th 2016 Download rates for FedEx. TASK #2: Verify you have the new rates TASK #3: Update your Accessorial Charges for DHL and FedEx PLEASE NOTE: Our instructions are easy, detailed and comprehensive. Anyone should be able to follow the instructions. HOWEVER, we understand that some people will not want to go through the procedure. If that is the case, you may contact ShipRite by filling out the support ticket form on our contact page to make an appointment for us to log in and do it for you for a service fee of $45.00.

2 THE DUE DATE IS January 2, 2016 TASK #1 The first task is accomplished by performing your program update on your ShipRite server. If you have a network, make sure ShipRite is closed on all stations. If you only have one computer, that will be called "SERVER." Time to Complete task 1: Seconds. Before installing any updates, you should always back up your software first. For instructions how to do a backup and setup an automatic backup routine, follow this link: To PERFORM THE FedEx 2016 RATE UPDATE: 1. Close the ShipRite program on all your computers before performing this update. 2. <CLICK HERE> to download your 2016 FedEx Rate update. 3. Save the file to your desktop. Double click on the update file. It will show that it is going to C:\shiprite folder. Do not change that. Click UNZIP, then OK, then CLOSE. 4. Your rates are now updated. NOTES: This update contains no programming changes and no version changes. It only includes the DHL and FedEx 2016 rates. You will have to perform another update later to download the 2016 Postal update in a few weeks. You will NOT have to reset or change your Markups. TASK #1 IS NOW COMPLETE.

3 TASK #2 Verify that you have the new rates with the updated 2016 rate charts. Time to Complete Task#2: 2-4 minutes To check if you have updated correctly and have the new 2016 rates properly installed, go to: Actions > Table Management > Service Tables Select DHL INT Compare the tables with the following Services DHL Int 60% Discount DHL 63% Discount

10 FedEx International Economy TASK #3 To Update DHL Accessorial Charges: Only Shipment Value Protection has changed for DHL. It is handled differently for Docs, vs NON docs. 1. Open ShipRite. 2. Go to ACTIONS>TABLE MANAGEMENT>MASTER SHIPPING TABLE. 3. Select DHL, select the service DHL-INT-DOC, click on Accessorial revenue and then Shipment Value Protection. Update the COST and RETAIL as seen below.

11 4. Now Select DHL-INT (non docs). Update the table as seen below: NOTE: The RETAIL (SELL) Prices are what we recommend. You are free to set it to whatever price matches your centers pricing policy. To Update FedEx Accessorial Charges: Time to Complete this task: 5-10 minutes 5. Open ShipRite. Go to ACTIONS>TABLE MANAGEMENT>MASTER SHIPPING TABLE. 6. Select FEDEX. IT IS IMPORTANT that you go through the selection of the services in the order we present them here. Otherwise the GLOBAL UPDATE BUTTON will change the wrong services. 7. First, select FEDEX-PRI. 8. Click on the services below ONE AT A TIME from the price chart below. The first is Residential Surcharge. Set as seen below then click GLOBAL UPDATE at the top LEFT. 9. Next proceed to COD. After setting this fee, click GLOBAL UPDATE. Continue all the way down the list. REMEMBER, click GLOBAL UPDATE and not UPDATE NOW.

It will be necessary to change a few services that are different from above. Now select FEDEX-GND 11. Click on Delivery Area Surcharge RES and change according to the chart below. Now you will click on UPDATE NOW. DO NOT click on GLOBAL UPDATE for any fees from this point on. Only use the UPDATE NOW button to save each.
