7 EXAMPLE USE OF CLASSIFICATION:: Is my product subject to export controls? Some products are subject to export controls. For example, products that could theoretically also be used for military purposes. But this is not obvious for every product. Integrated circuit example: Here there are clearly defined characteristics that make the product suitable for military use in addition to civil use. TCT helps you to quickly find out whether or not your product has any of these characteristics: By searching in the Correlation List for the export list, the system will automatically display found locations in the export lists. You can then use the comments regarding foreign trade law to find out whether your product is subject to export controls.
