Technical Customer Service by Stora Enso AvantFlute SC is our range of high quality Nordic SC fluting, perfected for demanding circumstances, temperature variations and long-distance transportation. To supplement and enhance our customers packaging business, we offer expert audits by our Technical Customer Service. It is a popular service, providing proven support in finding the optimal choice and best use of raw materials for the packaging process. On site at the plant, our servicefocused specialist will be able to identify and solve problems regarding runnability, materials, productivity bottlenecks etc. The outcome is better performance, higher profitability and the optimised application of our world-leading products. Rightweighting & Rightgrading by Stora Enso AvantKraft Brown is our range of Nordic brown kraftliners, developed especially for those end uses where strength, purity, moisture resistance and excellent printability are needed. AvantFlute Recycled is our range of modern recycled fluting, produced in Ostroleka, Poland. It is produced using the most advanced technologies available to create fluting that has excellent consistency and runnability. AvantLiner Recycled is our range of modern testliner, produced in Ostroleka, Poland. It is produced using the most advanced technologies available to create a testliner that has excellent consistency, runnability and printability. We help our customers to go beyond the concept of lightweighting to see the benefits of rightweighting and rightgrading. Rightweighting focuses on achieving the optimal packaging and strength properties without compromising on durability. The right choice of modern containerboard can in fact replace heavier grammages and save costs with maintained strength properties. Rightgrading embraces the whole performance of the packaging materials, such as strength properties, moisture resistance and resilience to temperature variations, not just grammage. Avant Performance by Stora Enso There is a common misconception in the corrugated industry that higher gram per square metre means more strength. We can help customers get more performance and value from our Avant containerboards at lower grammages. Together we set a target to reduce the grammage of a specific containerboard grade, while keeping the strength performance intact. The result is increased shared value with maintained performance. Design Solutions by Stora Enso Packaging design is at the heart of Stora Enso s business. We create structural designs with applied graphics for thousands of products every year. Our combined packaging design experience includes working with customers in virtually all industries. The high quality of the recycled fibres is provided using Stora Enso s own collection network and the sorting process at the mill. It is produced using the most advanced technologies available to create a testliner that has excellent consistency, runnability and printability. The shade and colouring are kept consistent using special technology in the production process. AvantLiner Recycled is a highly versatile testliner used for packaging solutions for retail, furniture, home-ware products, electronics and more. AvantFlute Recycled by Stora Enso Avant Flute Recycled is produced using the same modern technology as AvantLiner Recycled in Ostroleka. It has excellent consistency and runnability and it has versatile end use possibilities in retail, furniture, home-ware products and more. Products to improve performance We offer a unique family of Nordic virgin fibre and recycled fibre containerboards to serve the most demanding needs. Our high quality containerboards are combined with a range of services to improve material selection, productivity, packaging design and total cost. AvantFlute SC by Stora Enso AvantFlute SC is our high quality range of Nordic SC fluting produced in Heinola, Finland. It has been developed especially for demanding circumstances and tough requirements such as high humidity, temperature variations and long-distance transportation. AvantFlute SC is frequently used for fruit and vegetables packaging solutions, as well as other direct food contact segments, where the purity of the material is essential. The strength of AvantFlute SC also makes it very suitable for industrial packaging and heavy-duty applications. AvantKraft Brown by Stora Enso AvantKraft Brow is the latest addition to our product portfolio produced in Varkaus, Finland. AvantKraft Brown is a Nordic brown kraftliner, developed especially for those end uses where strength, purity, moisture resistance and good printability are needed. It is made for branded Measuring the performance of our containerboards To guarantee our customers a high and even quality, we test the performance of our containerboards in our mills on a regular basis. We use a set of standard and approved tests including Concora Medium Test (CMT), Short Compression Test (SCT), Corrugated Crush Test (CCT) and Edge Crush Test (ECT). We recommend that all of our customers test containerboards using the above standardised test methodologies to achieve reliable and comparable performance results. Laboratory tests alone are not enough to prove the performance of our Avant containerboards. Therefore we believe in real life cases in collaboration with our customers.

5 Our containerboard mills Award-winning sustainability Varkaus, Finland Our new Varkaus Mill machine produces AvantKraft by Stora Enso, our high quality brown kraft liner.
