3 1 Understanding Maintenance Schedules GETTING STARTED 1.1 Archived Maintenance Schedule Maintenance Events can affect various parts of the SoCalGas pipeline including: Zones, Sub-Zones, the Needles/Topock Area Zone, Receipt Points, and total Storage and Withdrawal capacities. Maintenance Schedules posted on ENVOY display information as to what point is affected, start date, end date, description of maintenance and reduction capacities in MMCF and Dekatherms (Dth). Note that there may be reductions in capacities that are not tied to a specific maintenance event, but rather due to operating conditions. Below is an Example of a Maintenance Schedule Note the color-coded legend denoting New and Revised entries. Events that are completed or canceled are simply crossed out with or without a grey background. 3

4 Information regarding Maintenance Events to SoCalGas pipeline system can be found in three locations: on the ENVOY front page as highlighted below and also internally. 4

6 By clicking Archived Maintenance Schedules under Notices, users will be taken to the page where current and historical maintenance posting files are located. Users are able to query between a specified date range and/or keyword(s) with the search boxes above. The actual file may be opened by clicking the link next to Attachment(s): in the box to the right hand side of the screen. 6

7 Alternatively, users can access information regarding maintenance events under by clicking Maintenance Schedules under Operations. This brings the user immediately to the latest Maintenance Schedule. Users are still able to query between a specified date range and keyword. Maintenance Schedules can also be found internally, as shown below: *Note: Although SoCalGas has used reasonable efforts to assure its accuracy and timeliness, this information is preliminary operational data and can be negatively impacted by delays or errors in electronic transfers, data entry, communication failures, or other causes. No representation is made that the contents are free from error. SoCalGas assumes no responsibility for use of, or reliance on this information by any party, and specifically advises such parties to discuss any decisions or actions related hereto with their own advisors and experts. Also note that Storage field injection/withdrawal capacities are adjusted periodically depending on field pressures. 7

8 Please refer to Alert Services to sign up for or text alerts. 1.2 Maintenance Impact The Maintenance Impact chart is found on the center of the ENVOY front page and displays Capacity Reduction and Available Firm Capacity at various points on the SoCalGas pipeline system through a 7 day period. Users can toggle between the Capacity Reduction and Available Firm Capacity tabs at the top of the chart. The Maintenance Impact chart displays on-going or upcoming maintenance within the date range. Below is an example of the Capacity Reduction tab. The Blythe Sub Zone (first row) is reduced by 204,626 dth through June 7 th and will be further reduced from June 8 th through June 10 th. Please refer to the Capacity Utilization screen to view available capacity at a particular point on the pipeline system. The date range can be extended by selecting More Info on the top right corner of the chart. The Available Firm Capacity tab serves as a guideline to how much Firm Capacity is operationally available at a particular point as a result of on-going or upcoming maintenance. The Unsubscribed Capacity screen on the ENVOY front page or the Buy Rights Ledger module (when logged into ENVOY) should be used to determine the amount of firm rights available for purchase. 8

9 In the example above, Firm Capacity available is approximately 1,035,374 dth at the Blythe Sub Zone for June 6 th and June 7 th. A new maintenance event will reduce Firm Capacity available to approximately 832,774 dth from June 8 th through June 10 th. 9
