1 SUMMARY Applying for an FAA Waiver? FAAWaiverWallet.com is the easiest way to complete, track, and store your FAA Waiver Requests. Use our templates and process to keep organized. Get notified and avoid unexpected waiver expirations! Have mobile access to all documents for onsite compliance. Installation: The FAAWaiverWallet app for Drone Deploy is installed using Drone Deploy s app market. Launching: Once installed the application will be accessible when creating or editing a flight plan from the Drone Deploy Dashboard interface. 2 LAUNCHING FAA WAIVER WALLET FROM DRONE DEPLOY The FAAWaiverWallet app for Drone Deploy is installed using Drone Deploy s app market. Once installed the application will be accessible by selecting the Plan Add a Flight button (or by editing an existing flight plan) from the Drone Deploy Dashboard interface. The FAAWaiverWallet app can be located at the bottom of your Flight Plan (no need to create the flight plan first). Click the down arrow to open the app. The waiver application process is initiated directly through the app by clicking the Add Waiver button. 3 Adding A Waiver Application FAAWaiverWallet - Drone Deploy App CREATING YOUR FAA WAIVER REQUEST Once selected, complete the fields of the request s specifics. 1. Provide a meaningful Description. Examples include: KORD Airspace or 1132 Main St. or Night Waiver PROCESS NOTE: Using FAAWaiverWallet PDF templates (or by using your own documents), you can build your application in more than one sitting. With the FAA website and online form, this is not possible. Our templates are available for download from the Add Documents button found on the screen displayed once the Next button is clicked. 2. If you are creating a new waiver, only complete the Description field and click Next to display the FAA Waiver Wallet Add Documents option. FAAWaiverWallet has saved your request and is ready to associate your documents with it, keeping all information for your request in one location. Click the Add Documents button Clicking Add Documents button then brings you to the FAAWaiverWallet.com Waiver Documents page where you can then organize your Waiver request documents. If you are applying for an Airspace Waiver, open the Airspace PDF Waiver Application template, otherwise use the general waiver template. 5 CREATING YOUR FAA WAIVER REQUEST (continued) 4. Complete the PDF template appropriate to your request and save the PDF file on your local drive. 5. Click the Add Files button on the Waiver Documents Screen. Repeat this and add any additional files which help document the waiver request and associated flight plan. Once all files are selected, click the Start Upload button to upload these files to FAAWaiverWallet. PROCESS NOTE: With FAAWaiverWallet PDF templates (or by using your own documents), you can build your application in more than one sitting. With the FAA website and online form, this is not possible. Our templates are available for download from the Add Documents button found on the screen displayed once the Next button is clicked. 6. When the template is complete, (and uploaded to the portal) use it to properly copy and paste responses into the proper FAA form (web address selectable from our templates). 6 TRACKING YOUR WAIVER REQUEST 1. You will receive a confirmation once your waiver application has been in-processed by the FAA. Follow the instructions in this to submit supporting documentation for your waiver request. Supporting documents must be provided within 7 days of receiving the confirmation . The FAA will send you an when a waiver request has been assigned a number in their system. When you receive the , edit your waiver request in FAAWaiverWallet and update the two fields labeled Waiver Ref # and Waiver Ref Date. PROCESS NOTE: If you have additional backup documentation such as diagrams, additional procedures, or other updates to your request, you can follow the directions in the and send the backup documentation to the FAA to include in their consideration of your request. If you send additional information to the FAA, upload the same documents to FAAWaiverWallet in order to accurately track your interactions with the FAA. 2. When your waiver request is approved, you will receive an from the FAA with the approval and an attachment of your Certificate of Waiver (CoW) in PDF format. This is your official approval to proceed with operations under the conditions set forth in the CoW document. Please read it carefully. 3. When you receive this final of approval, edit your waiver request in FAAWaiverWallet and update the two fields labeled Approval Date and Expiration Date. Also upload a copy of the Certificate of Waiver PDF to FAAWaiverWallet to complete your Wallet entry. You will now have access to this wallet entry whenever you need. This information is accessible from the Drone Deploy App, through FAAWaiverWallet.com, or by using the soon to be released FAAWallet mobile application.
