Copies of any records and other connected papers that may be requi red by the Bureau sha be made avai lable at any time on request. 3.0 Ql!l!J,Y ronbqj:! - t is recommended that, as far as possible, Statistical.Qual ity Control (SQ. methods may be used for controlling the quality of the product. during production as envisaged in this Scheme [Ree S 397 (Part :972. S 397 (Part 2:985 and S 397 (Part 3:980]..'! 3. n addition. effort should be made to gradually int.roduce a Qua ity Management System in accordance with the Qua ity System modules as per S/SO 900 or S/SO 9002 or S/SO 9003 as appropriate to the activities of the organization. 4.0.::rrANP~BPMAB.K- The Standard Mark, as given in Column.( of the First Schedu.le of the licence. as applicable. shall be applied on each dr~ cont.aining nhibited Mineral nsulating Oil provided that the nhibited Mineral nsulting Oil contained in such drums on whj.ch t.his mark is thub appl ied conforms t.o all the requirement. of the specification. 4. The Standard Mark shall be applied. in such a manner that when the drum is opened it get.s destroyed. This wi avoid the misuse of the mark. 5.0 OTHER MARKNGS - Every drum/barre] shall have the following particulars indelibly marked on it. (a Manufacturer'f; name and his recognized trade mark, if any;.

NOTE: \'lhensupply of insulating oil is made in road or rail tank wagons, it shall be accompanied by a certificate bearing the Standard Mark,of the. Bureau. 6.0,f,VJ?t',g, pf.r.ontroj.-~ - The tests and inspect.ion i,ndicated in Table.attached and at the levels of. specified therein. sha] be carried out on the whoe production covered under this scheme and> appropriate records and :charts maintained in accordance wi th paragraph 2 above. All the production which conforms to t.he'ndian Standard and covered by the licence sha be mar]ted wi th Certif:lcationMark of the Bureau. 7. CONTROL UNT ~ For the purpose of this scheme the quantity of insulatinq oil prod~ced in a day shall constitute a control unit. 7. f the insulating oil sample drawn for the tests fails in anyone or more of t.he requirement.s. two or more samples shall be d.rawn from the,same control unit and tested for those particular requirements and the cont.rol unit. rejected if there is any further failure. i! 7.2 The control unit. reject.ed in 7. may suitably be reprocessed and the defects rectified. Such. reprocessed control unit.may be marked if when tested again in accordance with scheme conforms to the requirements of the specification. 8. RAW MATERAL/COMPONENT': The raw material/component used should conform 'to the relevant ndian Standard wherever they ~xi st.. The raw materia may be ei ther BS marked or each consignments may he accompanied by test certificate showing its conformity to the relevant specification or the firm may get each consignment tested in their laboratory or in an independent lahoratoryfor ascertaining its conformity to the relevant specification. The relevant test records shall be maintained and made available at any time on request. ', ' e.? n respect of all other clauses of the specification. and at all stages of manufacture, the factory will maintain appropriate controls and checks to ensure that their product conforms to the varrolt:-> requirement.s of t.he specification. Such insulating 'oil shall not in any case be stored together with that conforming to the specification. 0. OB..;'l'P.J,f!!? - 'The j censee sha supply. free, of charge. the samples required in accordance with the ~ureau of ndian Standards (Certification Regulations as subsequently amended, from t.he factory orgodowns. The Bureau shall, pay for the samples t.aken by it from the open market...0 RRPL..AG.E~t.:~T- Whenevera complaint is recejved soon after the goods with Standfird Mark have been purchased find used. and if there is adequate evidence that the goods have not been misused~, defect lve' goods are replaced free of cost by the icensee in case the complaint is proved t.o be genuine and the warranty period,(where appl ica.ble, has not expired.the final authorityto judge the conformity of the product to the ndi,anstandard sha be with the Bureau.. n the event of any damages'caused by the goods bearing the Standard. Mark, or claim being filedhy the consumers against BB Standard Mark and not conforming to 'the relevant ndian Standard, ent-ire liabi ity arising out of such non conforming product shall be of the licensee and Bg shall not in any way be responsible in such cases. 2.0.B\!0P.f:N.SQN..<;>.,RMA.BKrN.G - The mark ing of t.he product sha be stopped under intimation to the Bureau if, at any time. there ir any difficulty i.nmaint.ainingtheconformity of thejr product to the specficat ion,. or the t.esting equipment goes out of order. The mrrking may be resumed as soon as the defects are removed. under intimation to Bureau. The marking of the product shall be stopped immediately if directed to do,so by Bureau for any reason. The marking may then be resumed only after permission by t.he Bureau. The informatjon regarding resumption of markings shall also be sent to the-bureau. 3.0 PBQJUrQJ'.:! nat~ - The icensee sha ] send to BS as per the enclosed proforma-l to be authenticated bya Chartered Accountant a statement of quanti ty produced. marked and exported hy hjm and' the trade value thereof at 'the end of each operative year of the J jcence.
