2 The long transport times plus the strict Turkish customs regulations requires an accorate planning. 3 1.) TEMPORARY IMPORTATION : Turkish law permits exhibits to be imported into Turkey on TEMPORARY IMPORT basis as 1a) with ATA Carnet: Exhibitors are strongly recommended to ship their exhibition goods using A.T.A. CARNET system in orders to shorten the processing time of documents for the temporary importation and avoids paying bond fee, which will be based on the value of goods for the temporary importation. You can apply to your local CHAMBER of COMMERCE to obtain A.T.A. CARNET. 1b) under bond: Supporting a Bank Guarantee letter, the amount of Bank guarantee is related to the Customs tariff number and import taxes of the exhibition material, SCHENKER will provide the guarantee letter and will charge a fee accordingly. This kind of clearance will need more time than A.T.A. CARNET clearance. All goods under temporary import must be returned and are not allowed for distribution! 3

4 2. ) PERMANENT IMPORTATION : This section only applies to the importation of goods intended for the distribution during the exhibition period i.e. literature / brochures, posters, etc. related advertising, and promotion materials. All such items must be P A C K E D and I N V O I C E D separately. A declared value must be given for each / every item although they have not any commercial value. All items must be checked in advance and may be rejected by Turkish customs. Goods under permanent entry are not allowed to be re-exported after the Congress! 2a) CLEARANCE OF VIDEO CASSETTES, FILM CD ROMS Etc : These are subject to Censorship and should be sent to us one of reliable courier service at least 3 weeks prior to the Fairs and Congress is organised! 4

DEADLINES: Please mind that the following deadlines can only be used as rough indications, please request every transport separately! 3a) SHIPPING WITH SCHENKER FROM EU COUNTRIES: Providing of documents b.) Truck freight : 7 working days in prior of collection of goods : 5 working days in prior of collection of goods Collection of goods from Germany: : approx. 11 working days in prior of delivery to stand b.) Truck freight : approx. 14 working days in prior of delivery to stand Collection of goods from other EU Countries: : approx. 12 working days in prior of delivery to stand. b.) Truck freight : approx. 21 working days in prior of delivery to stand. 5

6 3b) FREIGHT ARRIVAL DEADLINES AT SCHENKER WAREHOUSE ISTANBUL Documents must be checked from us prior departure. : 5 working days in prior of delivery to stand. b.) Truck freight : 6 working days in prior of delivery to stand. c.) Sea freight : 10 working days in prior of delivery to stand. For full trailer loading related to one exhibitor only, pls. contact us in advance in order enable us to advise the date of arrival. DOCUMENTS ARRIVAL DEADLINES b.) Truck freight c.) 7 4.) EXEMPTIONS -Schenker can not arrange any customs clearance at the Convention Center. Thus, Schenker won t accept any uncleared shipments coming directly to show site. -All Turkish imports are subject to Turkish authorities and may be rejected, please request each item considering above mentioned deadlines -Schenker won t take any responsibility for shipments coming after the deadlines mentioned at the final ERA/EDTA Shipping Manual -Schenker won t take any responsibilty for not followed instructions, or false information 5.) RATES AND TARIFF Please request all freight services at above mentioned contact. All on site services will be mentioned at the official ERA/EDTA Logistics Tariff, which will be published at the ERA/EDTA Website. 7
