2 An industry leader APM Terminals operates a global terminal network of 20,000 professionals with 76 operating port facilities and 117 Inland Services operations in 59 countries around the globe. The company provides port management and operations to over 60 shipping companies which serve the world s leading importersand exporters of containerized, bulk, liquid bulk, general cargo and other commodities. With world headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands, the company helps to meet the constantly changing needs of the international trade community through high productivity operations and port capacity in economically, environmentally and socially responsible ways. Leveraging a heritage of over a century of maritime industry experience and the strength of the Maersk Group, APM Terminals generated USD $4.17 billion in revenue in For APM Terminals, with two new port facilities opened in 2017, our goal remains to become the global leader in all aspects of port development, management, and operations. Recent industry and global recognition in 2016 included the Lloyd s List Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Logistics Excellence Award ; the ICHCA Safety Innovation Award for APM Terminals Buenos Aires; the US Pacific Maritime Association Safety Awards for both APM Terminals Los Angeles Pier 400, and APM Terminals Tacoma; and the Jordan Workplace Safety and Health Award, for Aqaba Container Terminal. In the most recent JOC comprehensive port and terminal productivity study, the APM Terminals global terminal network was once again recognized as the industry s standardsetter in world-wide terminal productivity, as measured by carne moves per hour with a vessel alongside. A total of 12 port facilities within the APM Terminals Global Terminal Network scored positions within the JOC Group s 2014 annual global port and terminal productivity rankings, including APM Terminals Yokohama, which again led all container facilities with 186 crane moves per hour (MPH) with a vessel alongside. Nine facilities either operated by APM Terminals, or in which APM Terminals holds a significant financial interest, were included among the world s 25 most productive terminals, with three more members of the APM Terminals portfolio listed as among regional top performers. Six terminals, in which APM Terminals is an investor or joint venture partner, among the Top 25 global leaders, are located at Chinese ports: Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal, and Tianjin Port Alliance International Container Terminal tied for third place with 136 MPH; Xiamen Songyu Container Terminal, tied for sixth place with 124 MPH; Tianjin Port Euroasia International Container Terminal, is in seventh place with 121 MPH; Guangzhou South China Oceangate Container Terminal, ranked 10th with 117 MPH; and Dalian Port Container Terminal, ranked 12th, with 108 MPH. South Asia Gateway Terminal, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is tied for 11th place with 111 MPH. APM Terminals Rotterdam tied for first place among European terminal operations with 101 MPH, a performance which also merited a three-way tie for 16th place among the global terminal productivity leaders. APM Terminals Los Angeles was the highest ranking port for productivity in North America, with 92 MPH. Within the JOC Group s Europe, Middle East and Africa grouping, The Port of Salalah, Oman; and NTB North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven, in both of which APM Terminals is a shareholder, tied for fifth place with 96 MPH. In productivity while working vessels of over 8,000 TEU capacity, Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal (QQCT) tied for first place globally, with 157 MPH. The growth of global trade is driving growth in global container port throughput, which is projected to surpass one billion TEUs within seven years. Increased terminal productivity will be a major factor in accommodating both that growth, and the larger vessels now entering the global container fleet, including those with capacities exceeding 20,000 TEUs. APM Terminals remains the only global terminal operating company with such a notable and widespread presence in the JOC Group s annual terminal productivity rankings. All JOC study rankings were calculated from a database with a minimum of 100 vessel call records generated in APM Terminals by the Numbers Countries: 59 Employees: 20,000 Port facilities: 76 New facilities in development: 5 Inland Services operations: 117 Annual Revenue in 2016: $4.17 billion Containers handled in 2016: 37.3 million TEUs (weighted by equity share) Size of global container market in 2016: 699 million TEUs 2

3 The future Total global GDP is forecast to reach $77.9 trillion USD in 2017, and is projected to approach $100 trillion by Emerging Market and Developing Economies now account for more than half (58.1%) of global economic output, and more than one third (35.6%) of all exports of goods and services. As this share of world trade will continue to grow to reflect relative size of GDP, port and terminal infrastructure and investment will become increasingly important, particularly in these economically emerging regions currently constrained by inadequate access to modern port and logistics infrastructure. To responsibly accommodate anticipated trade volumes in such areas as Southeast Asia, Latin America, sub-saharan Africa, the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent, development must proceed in concert with environmental concerns as well as sensitivity to local, regional and national circumstances and needs. APM Terminals is continuing to explore new opportunities to grow our business, particularly in underserved with markets with significant growth potential. We remain committed to the highest standards of customer service, corporate governance, sustainable environmental business practices and to hiring the most dedicated and highly trained personnel around the world in order to meet the demands of the container transportation industry with the world s only truly Global Terminal Network. 3
